摘要: Certain aspects of the disclosure are directed to communication bridging among disparate platforms in a remote communications environment involving first and second chat rooms. According to a specific example, a communications system is configured to provide remote communications services including a communication bridging service and another type of data communications services, in the remote communications environment. In certain embodiments the system may provide or generate connectivity data, such as a uniform resource locator (URL), to facilitate formation of the communication bridge, and may identify chat room protocols associated with the first and second chat rooms. The system is further configured to translate chat messages using the specifications for the first and second chat room protocols, and transmit chat messages between the first chat room and the second chat room.

摘要: The subject technology provides an in-place encoding of a network identifier that compresses the network identifier without mapping the network identifier to a another server or service, such as URL shortening service. The network identifier may be compressed using segmented encoding operations that segment the network identifier, and encode the characters of the network identifier using a first set of encoding operations for a first portion of the network identifier and a second set of encoding operations for a second portion of the network identifier. Template encoding may also be provided for network identifiers that conform to a predefined template format.

摘要: Method and apparatus for monitoring the status and location of personnel using a remote timer. In some embodiments, a method includes execution of a subject application (app) on a network accessible device. A countdown timer of a remote server is initiated to monitor a time interval, the remote server communicating with the network accessible device over a network. Geo positions of the network accessible device are monitored during the monitored time interval. The remote server sends a notification to a monitoring device responsive to at least one of the following events: the monitored time interval ends without the remote server receiving an authorized personal identification (PID) value; or the remote server receives an unauthorized PID value prior to the conclusion of the monitored time interval. In further embodiments, a notification is sent based on an out-of-bounds geo position of the network accessible device during the time interval.

摘要: Computing devices and method for performing a secure neighbor discovery. A local computing device transmits an encrypted local node identifier and an encrypted local challenge to a remote computing device. The remote computing device generates a local challenge response based on the local challenge; and transmits an encrypted remote node identifier and an encrypted local challenge response to the local computing device. The local computing device determines that the received local challenge response corresponds to an expected local challenge response generated based on the local challenge. The remote computing device further transmits an encrypted remote challenge. The local computing device generates a remote challenge response based on the remote challenge; and transmits an encrypted remote challenge response to the remote computing device. The remote computing device determines that the received remote challenge response corresponds to an expected remote challenge response generated based on the remote challenge.

摘要: In one embodiment, a computer networking device calculates a first hash value for an identifier of a group of computing devices, as well as a second hash value for the identifier of the group of computing devices, with each hash value being at least in part on the identifier of the group of computing devices and an identifier of the respective interface. The computer networking device may also analyze the first hash value with respect to the second hash value and select the first interface for association with the identifier of the group of computing devices based at in part on the analyzing. The computer networking device may further store an indication that the identifier of the group of computing devices is associated with the first interface.
