Abstract:
A grounding brush includes a plurality of conductive fibers and a support inside which the conductive fibers are mounted. The support includes a mounting portion and two lateral flanks extending from the mounting portion and axially gripping the conductive fibers. Each lateral flank of the support has an internal frontal face and an external frontal face, the two faces delimiting the axial thickness of each lateral flank, and a bore. Each lateral flank of the support is further provided with a connecting surface extending between the internal frontal face and the bore.
Abstract:
A motor includes an armature including a commutator, a bracket including a conductive brush and a first wall part, and a first deformable part. The conductive brush is in contact with the commutator. The first wall part includes a first surface extending along a first surface of the conductive brush. The first deformable part is in contact with both the first surface of the conductive brush and the first surface of the first wall part. The first deformable part is deformable in response to movement of the conductive brush.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a conductive ring assembly, a conductive device and a wind turbine. The conductive ring assembly includes a sun gear, a ring gear and one or more planet gear. The sun gear is located in the ring gear, and the sun gear and the ring gear are coaxially arranged. The one or more planet gear is engaged between the sun gear and the ring gear. The planet gear is conducted with the sun gear and the ring gear at the same time, so that an electrical signal is transmitted between the sun gear and the ring gear by means of the one or more planet gear. The conductive ring assembly uses a planet gear structure for communication data transmission to improve the interference resistance of the conductive ring assembly.
Abstract:
A wire brush for a slipring includes a contact section, from which a stabilizer arm is extending backwards towards the brush block of the slipring. The stabilizer arm holds a friction section, which is in friction contact with the contact section at a friction contact area. Such contact, in operation, generates internal friction within the brush when the brush is moved and, therefore, suppresses oscillations of the brush.
Abstract:
A housing and a power cable for supplying power to components within the housing wherein the power cable is attached to the appliance via a rotatable connection, the rotatable connection comprising a male connector having two longitudinally spaced connectors separated by a separator and a female connector comprising two longitudinally spaced receptacles. The two longitudinally spaced receptacles may be substantially identical and may be shaped to receive the longitudinally spaced connectors and may have a base portion and two upstanding portions forming a U-shape. The two upstanding portions may have a first straight section that extends from the base portion and may have a second section which extends from the first section and is adapted to receive a longitudinally spaced connector and may have a third section which extends from the second section and provides an opening into which a longitudinally spaced connector can be inserted.
Abstract:
The current invention, by using a plurality of conductive fiber brush bundles and a coaxial line to transfer RF signal(s) between relatively rotatable objects, creates easy-maintenance, long duration a RF rotary joint with soft contacting rotational interfaces. It consists of a stationary shield conductor assembly, a stationary core conductor assembly, a rotational shield conductor assembly with a tapered round head, a rotational core conductor assembly with a tapered round head, and rotational and stationary insulating assemblies with a central bore. Both stationary and rotational shield conductor assemblies having a conductive fiber brush bundle, which further containing a plurality of hair-thin conductive filaments to form a symmetrical flexible tube. The interfaces of the core soft contacting rotational and the shield soft contacting rotational are formed between the free end portions of the conductive fiber brush bundles and the tapered round head of the rotational cone conductor and rotational shield conductor respectively.
Abstract:
A grounding rope assembly for electrically grounding a rotatable conductive shaft of a dynamo-electric machine. The assembly includes a grounding rope member including a plurality of conductive wires extending along the length of the grounding rope member and one or more discrete fixation points intermediate the first and second ends of the grounding rope member. Two or more of the plurality of conductive wires are affixed together at each of the discrete fixation points.
Abstract:
A slipring comprises a slipring module rotating about a rotation axis, having a plurality of sliding tracks and at least one multi wire brush sliding thereon. The sliding tracks have a circular contact surface with its center located at the rotation axis and a convex shaped cross-section. Due to this convex shaped sliding track, the individual brush wires of the multi wire brush distribute over the sliding track surface and offer a higher number of contact points. This results in a higher current capacity, lower contact resistance and lower contact noise.
Abstract:
The present invention broadly provides improvements in a slip-ring adapted to provide electrical contact between a stator and a rotor. The improved slip-ring includes a brush assembly having a brush tube mounted on the stator and having a fiber bundle composed of a number of individual fibers. The upper marginal end portions of the fibers are received in the brush tube. The lower marginal end portions of the fibers extend beyond the brush tube toward the rotor. The improvements broadly comprise: a central portion of the fibers having been removed below the brush tube such that the fibers extending below the brush tube toward the rotor are in the form of an annulus; and wherein the tangential compliance of the fiber bundle at its point of contact with the rotor is more than twice the tangential compliance of the fiber bundle if the central portion had not been removed.
Abstract:
A carbon brush composed of a brush body and a lead wire is used for supplying electric current to a rotor of a rotary electric machine. The lead wire is made by twisting many thin wire elements each having a diameter smaller than 0.05 mm. A cross-section of the lead wire is made larger than 3 mm2 to give the lead wire a sufficient current capacity. Strength of the lead wire against vibration is improved by using a large number of thin wire elements without sacrificing flexibility. Preferably, a margin length between both ends of the lead wire is provided to allow the lead wire to smoothly follow movements of the brush body slidably contacting a commutator. An amount of a flexure of the lead wire due to the margin length is predetermined so that a stress applied to the wire element does not exceed its permissible fatigue limit.
