Abstract:
The invention relates to a connection system for establishing a detachable electrically conductive connection, including a female connector and a male connector compatible therewith. The female connector includes a socket with annular concentric contact openings and contact elements arranged within the contact openings. The male connector includes a plug with contact elements which can be inserted into the contact openings of the socket. Ferromagnetic elements are arranged concentrically around the socket or the plug, the ferromagnetic elements of the male connector and of the female connector having mutual attraction in order to generate a retaining force between the two connectors.
Abstract:
The receptacle connector includes a central terminal mechanically and electrically connecting with a core wire of a coaxial cable connected to a plug connector, and an outer terminal mechanically and electrically connecting with an external conductor surrounding the core wire with an internal electrical-insulator being sandwiched therebetween, the central terminal including a first contact making contact with the core wire, and a second contact electrically connected to the first contact, passing through under the outer terminal and extending to the outside of the outer terminal, the second contact being formed with at least one of a cut-out and an opening in an area where the second contact overlaps the outer terminal.
Abstract:
Consolidated power tips allow a power adaptor to be connected to disparately sized input ports of electronic devices. The consolidated power tips may be sized to balance insertion and pull-out forces for the disparately sized input ports. Deformable members may be added to the consolidated power tips for more desirable insertion and pull-out forces and improved electrical contact. For input ports with different electrical requirements, a mode selector may be added to the consolidated power tip to select between the electrical requirements of the different input ports.
Abstract:
A connector is described herein that includes a plurality of layers patterned in two dimensions and joined in a stack with a bore there through. At least a subset of the plurality of layers are contact layers that include deflectable members (e.g., springs) that deflect in plane or out of plane upon insertion of a lead into the bore through the connector. The deflectable members form redundant electrical connections with the lead when the lead is inserted into the bore. For example, the connector can be incorporated into an implantable medical device (e.g., IPG). Moreover, methods of manufacturing a connector are set forth herein.
Abstract:
An audio and video plug is provided, comprising a male audio plug having at least one audio signal plug contact and one audio ground plug contact, the plug being characterized by a substantially cylindrical video ground plug contact located radially outward said male audio plug, and being electrically insulated from said male audio plug, and at least one video signal plug contact being located inward of said video ground plug contact, and being electrically insulated from said video ground plug contact. Further an audio and video socket is provided, comprising a female audio socket having at least one audio signal socket contact and one audio ground socket contact, and a video signal socket contact being electrically insulated from said female audio socket, the socket being characterized by at least one video ground socket contact located radially outward said female audio socket, and being electrically insulated from said female audio socket and said video signal socket contact.
Abstract:
A connector to be connected to a mating connector includes a housing having a receptacle recess portion for receiving the mating connector. The housing includes a regulating protrusion formed on an inner surface thereof. The connector further includes a terminal retained in the housing. The terminal includes a held portion held in the housing, a bent portion bending from the held portion, and an elastic contact portion extending from the bent portion. The elastic contact portion contacts with an outer conductive member of the mating connector and elastically deforming when the plug is inserted into the receptacle recess portion. The held portion and the bent portion have a cut portion for accommodating the regulating protrusion, so that the regulating protrusion is situated at a position for regulating the elastic contact portion.
Abstract:
A header for an implantable pulse generator includes a header body having a bore formed therein, at least one header contact located within the bore to contact a corresponding contact of a lead terminal inserted in the bore, and a rigid component located within the bore.
Abstract:
A centralized power distribution unit for a vehicular thin brushless motor includes a plurality of bus bars and a resin insulating layer that covers the bus bars. The bus bars are disposed correspondingly with phases of the motor. Each of the bus bars has a terminal portion to be connected to a battery and one or more tabs to be connected respectively to one or more windings of a stator. Each of the bus bars is shaped into a substantially annular shape by bending a molded material in a thickness direction. The molded material is obtained by stamping out a conductive metal plate into a strip-like shape. Diameters of the annular shapes of the bus bars are set to be different from one another depending on the corresponding phase of the motor. The bus bars are stacked in a radial direction of the centralized power distribution unit, mutually separated by a predetermined gap.
Abstract:
A three contact barrel power connector assembly is provided. The power connector assembly includes both a connector plug and a connector jack. The connector plug includes an inner body and an outer body transmitting electrical current. The connector plug further includes a center body that transmits a data signal or a low power current. The connector jack includes a housing ground, a housing body, outer contacts that couple with the outer body, inner contacts that couple with the inner body, and a center contact that couples with the center body. The power connector assembly further includes insulators operable to prevent unwanted electrical contact between the connector plug and the connector jack. The connector plug is operable to couple with the connector jack independent of the orientation of the connector plug with respect to the connector jack, provide high levels of power, and effectively transmit data signals in addition to power.
Abstract:
A male connector and mating female connector for use in a cordless electric water beating jug. The male connector has a cup-shaped body with an open base within which are located a central pin terminal and two concentric annular terminals. The body of the female connector is dimensioned to fit within the male connector and has openings to receive the pin terminal and the inner annular terminal so that they may engage two female terminals. A further female terminal projects from the side wall of the female connector for engagement with the outer annular male terminal.
