摘要: A linear LED lamp having a body with a length between spaced first and second ends. The linear LED lamp has an elongate heat sink and a light source comprising LED emitters and a first end cap assembly at the first end of the body. The first end cap assembly has conductive power and ground pins and a support connector has conductive power and ground terminals for connecting with an external power supply and providing a grounding path for components of the lamp. The power and ground pins of the first end cap assembly are configured to engage the power and ground terminals of the support connector as an incident of the first end cap assembly moving relative to the support connector in a path that is transverse to the length of the body into an engaged position. A sleeve connector is also provided for mounting a non-power end of a linear LED lamp to a light fixture.

摘要: A double-ended socket system for safely and easily seating a double-ended lamp is disclosed. The system has two socket assemblies spaced a distance corresponding to the length of a double-ended lamp. Each socket assembly has a housing with a recess that houses a cylindrical socket for receiving a lamp end that rotates between a disengaged orientation and an engaged orientation. The housing has an attached electrical connector connected to a power source. The socket has another attached electrical connector that contacts the electrical connector of the housing only when the socket is rotated to the engaged orientation, thus eliminating the electrical shock hazard of conventional double-ended socket systems. The lamp may be removed only while in the disengaged orientation. A user may install a double-ended lamp into the socket system by use of only one hand. A method of use of a double-ended socket system is also disclosed.

摘要: A safety endcap assembly to be arranged at an end of an LED lamp. It has an endcap base element, an endcap cover element, a connector pin, a contact element for connecting to the connector pin to LEDs, and a switch button. The endcap cover element is moveable between a protracted position and a retracted position, and the switch button is moveable between a first position and a second position. The switch button is arranged to disconnect contact element from the LEDs when the switch button is in the first position. The safety endcap assembly further has a switch opening mechanism configured to move the switch button to the first position when a certain condition is met.

摘要: A support connector for maintaining an end of a linear LED lamp in an operative state on a support. The support connector comprises a nonconductive housing comprising a first portion including a mounting base at one end of the first portion configured to couple the support connector to the support. A second portion extends from the opposite end of the first portion and is configured to be insertable within an opening of a first end cap assembly of the linear LED lamp. First and second power electrical terminals are disposed within first and second receptacles of the support connector, and a grounding electrical terminal is disposed within a third receptacle, and the grounding electrical terminal is electrically isolated from the first and second power terminals. The first and second power electrical terminals mate with first and second conductive power pins of the end cap assembly, and the grounding electrical terminal is configured to mate with a grounding pin of the end cap assembly as the first end cap assembly is moved relative to the support connector from a position fully separated from the support connector in a path that is transverse to the length of the body into an engaged position.

A method serves to assemble a base (3, 4) on a lamp, tube (1) of the tubular lamp (L). In particular, the invention is suitable for use on retrofit LED lamps as a substitute for fluorescent lamps, in particular T-type lamps, in particular T8-type lamps.

The tubular light emitting diode lamp also includes a driver electrically connected to the plurality of light emitting diodes, the at least one primary pin, and the at least one secondary pin. The least one primary pin provides power to the driver to cause the plurality of light emitting diodes to emit light and the at least one secondary pin provides a signal to the driver that is distinct from the power.

摘要: A safety end cap assembly includes an end cap base element to be arranged at one end thereof on an end of the elongate housing, at least one connector pin extending along a longitudinal axis of the end cap base element, an electrical switch electrically connected to the connector pin and switchable between an open state and a closed state, and an end cap cover element arranged slidable on the end cap base element between a protracted position where the switch button is covered by the end cap cover element, and a retracted position, where the switch button is exposed. When protracted, the end cap cover element extends beyond the end of the end cap base element, and for sliding the end cap cover element from its protracted position to its retracted position, the end cap cover element is moved towards the end cap base element.
