摘要： A strain sensitive coaxial cable is disclosed as comprising a centrally dosed conductor about which is disposed a first insulating layer, and a second conductor disposed coaxially about the center conductor, configured as a helix and dimensioned to loosely fit with respect to the first dielectric layer and to permit relative axial movement generally between the second conductor and the first dielectric layer, whereby more uniform signals, and elastic-inelastic strain discrimination are provided and spurious outputs eliminated. An outer protective sheath is disposed about the helical turns of the second conductor. Another form includes using spaced mechanical means such as collar members at spaced intervals frictionally affixed to both the dielectric layer around the center conductor and the second helical conductor to prevent movement of those frictionally engaged spaced portions of the second conductor with respect to the dielectric layer around the center conductor, thereby reducing the possibility of providing false or spurious outputs due to strain relief of the cable.

摘要： An entrapment prevention device for ensuring that people or obstacles do not become trapped in the path of automatic doors, windows and the like features an elongate sensor which can be fitted along an edge of an opening or of a closure member adapted to close the opening.The sensor features a pair 11 of electrically conductive bands 13 and 14 which are held spaced apart and facing each other by insulating strips 17 with the pair of bands being wound in helical form round a core 12 to form an elongate structure. A series of transverse slots are provided in the surface of the radially outer band 14 so that the remaining web portions 15 can be easily deflected by light contact pressure to electrically contact the radially inner band 14. This electrical contact is sensed by a monitoring circuit 24 which energizes a relay 26 to stop or reverse the automatic drive. The pair of bands 11 is surrounded by an outer helically wound resilient cushion 18 and is enclosed in a continuous outer sleeve 19.

摘要： An electrical switch including a first flexible elongated conductor and a second flexible elongated conductor coaxial with the first conductor. An insulating element which is both resilient and deformable spaces the first conductor from the second conductor along the whole length of the first conductor, and the insulating element is loaded with conductive particles. The nature of the insulating element containing the conductive particles is such that compression of the element in a direction to decrease the spacing between the first and second conductors establishes a conductive path within the element between the first and second conductors.

摘要： A linear switch having a pair of elongated superposed metal strip conductors positioned within a centrally located cavity formed within a resilient nonconductive casing. The lower conductor strip is supported within the cavity by a longitudinally extending rib or anvil-like portion which is integral with the casing. The upper conductor strip is supported within the cavity in a normally spaced relationship with the lower conductor strip by a pair of yieldable flanges which are integral with the casing and which protrude into the cavity a limited distance.

摘要： A normally closed ribbon switch has two conductor strips each having transverse curvature. The strips are mounted to touch on their convex sides. The conductor strips have a pair of insulation strips mounted along and between the outer edges of the conductor strips whereby when the ribbon switch is flexed the strips lose their transverse curvature and the electrical contact between the conductor strips opens.
