    摘要: A connection is formed to a cable for transmitting power or telemetry data in a down hole environment. The cable includes a conductor, and a tubular metallic impermeable layer around the conductor. The end of the conductor exposing, and the conductor introduced to a bore in a housing. The bore contains an electrical contact which abuts the conductor, the housing sealing against the metallic impermeable layer to isolate the bore of the housing. The cable includes an outer coating, this outer coating being removed to expose the metallic impermeable layer. One cable may introduced to a first bore of the housing, and a second cable is introduced to a second bore of the housing, the conductors of both cables abutting electrical contacts, so that these contacts are electrically connected to one another, the housing sealing against the impermeable metal layer of each cable.

The polymer film (4) is inserted into the metal pipe (6) with the conductive film (5) toward the outer circumference so that the conductive film (5) is electric contact with the metal pipe (6). The conductive film (5) has a thickness in a range not smaller than 1 micron and not greater than 10 microns.

    摘要: A jumper coaxial cable assembly includes a jumper coaxial cable and at least one solder-type connector secured thereto. The cable may include an outer conductor, which, in turn, includes aluminum with a tin layer thereon. The tin layer permits an aluminum outer conductor to be used, yet facilitates soldering of the solder-type connector onto the outer conductor. The tin layer may be a tin alloy, such as a tin/lead alloy, for example. The outer conductor may have a continuous, non-braided, tubular shape, and the tin layer may extend continuously along an entire length of the outer conductor. The tin layer may be readily formed by tin plating during manufacturing of the jumper coaxial cable. The jumper coaxial cable assembly may be joined to a main coaxial cable and/or to electronic equipment.

    摘要: An electrical line (L) with at least one electrical conductor (1) surrounded by an insulation (2) in which a braid (4) of metallic wires serving for electrical shielding is disposed over the insulation (2), and a jacket (6) of an insulating material is applied over the braid (4). To produce a shield that is effective even at very high frequencies, the insulation (2), which is made of a heat-resistant material, is first covered all around with a closed metallic sheath (3) produced by vapor deposition. The braid (4) is then applied to the sheath (3) in direct contact therewith and, in addition, the braid (4) is covered all around with a metallic coating (5) produced in a coating process.

    摘要: A coaxial element wire includes a center conductor, an insulation layer, and an outer conductor. The insulation layer is provided around the center conductor, and it has a thickness of 0.15 mm or less. The outer conductor is a ribbon-shaped conductor obtained by pressing a copper or copper alloy round wire into a flat form, without annealing after pressing. This ribbon-shaped conductor is spirally wrapped around the insulation layer to thereby form the coaxial element wire. The coaxial element wire may be covered with a protective jacket, and plural coaxial wire elements may be joined into a common jacket to form a multicore cable.
