摘要： A disk changer for shortening the time required for the extraction of a disk from a magazine portion and the performance of the recording/reproducing operation is provided. First and second extracting members for extracting a disk from the magazine portion, and first and second deck members including recording and reproducing elements thereon, are simultaneously moved to the vicinity of a selected disk. Then, the disk is extracted from the magazine portion, and the recording/reproducing operation is carried out. The recording/reproducing operation can also be performed with respect to a disk from outside the disk changer via a tray member.

摘要： A disk-changing device is disclosed which is able to house a plurality of disk-shaped recording media, and is capable of miniaturization. The recording media are arrayed in one orientation, and the play-back mechanism selects one desired disk, takes it out and performs a predetermined operation such as play-back on the data recorded on the disk. The play-back mechanism is constructed to be capable of movement between the housing positions of the recording media. This movement is based on a plurality of pairs of plate cams which are provided on the inside of the chassis of the device and are able to move reciprocally, and on cam followers which are provided in the play-back mechanism and are inserted into the cams of the plate cams. The shape of the cam is a back-switching stepped shape, with the result that it is constructed in such a way that the amount of movement of the play-back mechanism in the horizontal direction is small. Consequently, the volume of the device as a whole can be kept low.

摘要： A loading apparatus of a multi-disc player having a simplified structure and a stable loading operation is disclosed. The loading apparatus comprises a tray base combined integrally with a chuck arm. A cam gear which is rotated by a driving motor is located on a stationary chassis. A lift arm is rotatably connected to the cam gear. Each of a couple of sliding plates is movably connected to respective ends of the lift arm. A shifting gear which is rotatably fixed to the tray base is meshed with a shifting rack formed on a disc tray, thereby shifting the disc tray forwards or backwards. A power transmission gear is meshed with the cam gear and the shifting gear.

摘要： An apparatus and system for sequentially releasing floppy disks includes a hopper for holding the stack of the disks and a mechanism for sliding the lowermost disk in the stack from beneath the remainder of the stack. A plunger device enters the area between the lowermost disk and a next lowest disk to provide some separation at an area of concern, while leaving sufficient contact between the two disks to ensure that the stack and a load member atop the stack provide the gravitational force necessary to properly position the lowermost disk for release. In a preferred embodiment, the stacks of disks are floppy disks and the plunger device is aligned to provide separation at write-protect notches of the disk. The plunger device may be a fluid-actuated device.

摘要： A system for transporting diskettes in serial order from a vertical stack of diskettes, including a slidable gate positioned beneath the stack, and a reciprocable carriage connected to the gate and a drive motor for reciprocable motion. The carriage has a flag tab which interrupts electro-optical sensors positioned at spaced intervals along the carriage path of travel, and electro-optical sensors are connected to a control circuit for controllably regulating drive motors. The carriage moves from a home position to a pick position for receiving a diskette from the stack, and then moves to a load position for transferring the diskette into a magnetic drive unit, and subsequently moves to an eject position for ejecting the diskette from the magnetic drive unit, and finally moves to the home position to complete the cycle.

摘要： The disclosure is concerned with a housing for a recording disc and a device for inserting the housing accommodating a recording disc on a recording/reproducing apparatus thereby avoiding direct contact of the operator's hand with the recording disc. The housing has a carrier or base plate for carrying the recording disc and a flexible cover fixed at one end to the carrier plate, the cover being adapted to cover the recording disc mounted on the carrier plate. The arrangement is such that the flexible cover is automatically taken off the carrier plate during insertion of the housing to bring the recording disc to its recording/reproducing position.

摘要： Spindle depress/brake apparatus in a disc dictation machine for depressing the record/playback spindle during a disc change cycle and for inhibiting rotational motion of the spindle after a new disc is loaded until the spindle properly engages a phasing slot in the disc. The apparatus includes a pivotally mounted bellcrank resiliently biased in a non-spindle depress direction. The bellcrank includes a Y-shaped first end engaging the spindle having a tooth for inhibiting rotation of the spindle and a second end which includes a cam surface, a mechanical latch and an adjustable stop. The spindle depress/brake apparatus is actuated by motion of the disc change loader carrier mechanism in the machine.
