Abstract:
An apparatus includes one or more disc media cassettes configured to store multiple disc-based media. Multiple disc drives are configured to read and write data to the multiple disc-based media. A robotic delivery device is configured to transport a selected disc-based media to and from at least one disc drive of the multiple disc drives, and to transport the selected disc-based media directly to a spindle on the at least one disc drive.
Abstract:
A turntable device, comprising: a base and an arm. The base may comprise a pad and a spindle. The arm may comprise: a housing; one or more buttons; a spindle engagement portion; a stylus cartridge; a power supply; one or more wireless communication devices; a linear actuator; a motor; and a vertical solenoid. The base may receive a phonographic record, and the spindle engagement portion may engage with the spindle, such that the arm is entirely supported above said base via said spindle and only the spindle.
Abstract:
A disc conveying device includes a plurality of disc holding members stacked in a first direction which is a disc thickness direction, one of the plurality of disc holding members holding a disc such that the disc can slide to one side in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, a disc holding member moving mechanism separating the one of the plurality of disc holding members from an adjacent one of the plurality of disc holding members in the first direction, moving the one of the plurality of disc holding members to the one side in the second direction, and partially protruding the disc from other discs held by the plurality of disc holding members to the one side in the second direction, and a disc conveying mechanism holding a protruded part of the disc and conveying the disc to the one side in the second direction.
Abstract:
An electronic and a gate structure including a first door-leaf, a second door-leaf, and a latch are provided. The first door-leaf having three first locking portions is movably assembled to an entrance of an object. The second door-leaf having two second locking portions is movably disposed at the first door-leaf, such that the first door-leaf closes or opens the entrance. The latch having a third locking portion and a fourth locking portion is movably disposed on the first door-leaf and between the first and the second door-leaves. The first locking portions are located on a moving path of the third locking portion. The second door-leaf is locked to the object and the third locking portion is located at the middle one of the three first locking portions, the fourth locking portion is blocked with one second locking portion and the first door-leaf covers the entrance.
Abstract:
A conveying block 20 for conveying recording mediums between slots 15 and a drive block 16 is provided with a recording medium delivery block 50 for delivering the recording mediums to and from the slots 15 or the drive block 16, an extendable and retractable rail portion for moving the recording medium delivery block to a desired slot, and a control block 17 for controlling extension and retraction operation of the rail portion 31. The control block 17 determines whether the slots 15 are provided in an expansion area provided in an extending direction of the rail portion 31, and when the slots 15 are provided in the expansion area, the rail portion 31 is extended so that the recording medium delivery block 50 is moved to the desired slot in the expansion area. The recording mediums are efficiently stored for changer operation.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a connector electrically connected to a drive unit in a state where the drive unit is connected to the information processing apparatus, a detector configured to detect an operation performed on a specific button disposed on the drive unit based on a change in a voltage of a specific pin of the connector in a state where the drive unit is connected to the information processing apparatus and an operational voltage is not applied to the drive unit and a power controller configured to start applying the operational voltage to the drive unit via the connector in response to the operation detected by the detector.
Abstract:
A disc device which takes out a disc stored in a magazine and conveys the disc to any disc drive, in which the magazine comprises a tray which stores a plurality of discs, and a case which has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape and which stores the tray. The case has an opening at front face into which the tray can be inserted into or taken out therefrom. The tray has an outer shape being substantially rectangular in planar view. The tray is provided with cut portions formed at corner portions positioned on the back side of the case being cut off. The disc device further comprises a picker which holds the tray and draws out the tray from the case. The picker rotates the tray when the cut portion passes through the opening.

Abstract:
In a library apparatus, it is not considered that eliminated is an operation for reversing a direction of a double-sided readable/writable recording medium. In the library apparatus having a function of transporting and loading a recording medium from a recording medium storage unit to a recording and reproducing unit through a recording medium transportation unit, a direction in which an unrecorded recording medium is first loaded in the recording and reproducing unit is afterward treated as a front surface, and a direction opposite to the above direction is treated as a rear surface.
Abstract:
A method and system controls an optical disk driver (ODD) of a computer. The method detects whether an eject button connected with an I/O (input/output) chip of the computer has been pressed, and determines if an optical disk exists in the ODD when the eject button has been pressed. Additionally, the method sends a control signal to the ODD, and control the ODD to eject the optical disk when the optical disk exists in the ODD.
