    摘要： A gear motor having an output shaft for driving the dispensing mechanism of a vending machine includes a plurality of magnetically operated switches positioned adjacent one end of the output shaft and a plurality of magnets attached to that end of the output shaft. A DC electric motor is energized by a computer to rotate the output shaft in a first direction until one of the magnetic switches is actuated by a magnet, which instructs the computer to reverse the polarity of power to the DC motor, reversing the direction of the motor and the output shaft. When the output shaft is returned to its standby position, one or more of the switches are again actuated which instructs the computer to terminate power to the DC motor. An enclosure surrounds the switches and magnets and protects them from the ambient.

    摘要： Coin-operated apparatus for dispensing suntan lotion or the like comprising a selectively actuatable air compressor which directs an air stream through a first nozzle opening in a spray head across a second nozzle opening to aspirate lotion through the latter and atomize such lotion into a fine spray mist. The spray head is connected to the compressor and to a lotion tank by respective extensible flexible hoses such that the head may be moved over the exposed portions of a user's body to deposit a film of lotion thereof. A time delay relay turns off the compressor after a preselected adjustable dispensing period.

    摘要： A vending machine, preferably for cooled articles, comprises a number of drums subdivided into compartments and arranged as a stack within a cabinet to be individually rotatable about a horizontal shaft. A front and a rear shield covers the lower half of the stack and leave between themselves a passage. A flap, which is swingable about a horizontal shaft, reaches, in one of its positions, to the lower edge of the front shield and partly closes the passage. The machine comprises a selector mechanism, by which the position of an actuator can be adjusted to a desired drum and, when released, rotates the latter one step, and also tilts the flap, so an adjacent article can slide down a chute. The machine is provided with suitable release structure, for instance a coin-freed device, which by way of impulses to an electric motor causes a swinging movement of an arm in the actuator.

    摘要： The invention features a vending machine and an improved coin meter therefor. The vending machine comprises a housing enclosing support means for a pair of endless conveyors, one surrounding the other. Each conveyor carries a plurality of containers for the articles being dispensed. A separate drive means is provided for each conveyor to sequentially bring the containers of that conveyor to a dispensing station when its drive means is energized by an appropriate signal from the coin meter. The coin meter has a coin intake slot for each conveyor and each coin slot leads to its own channel which terminates in divergent legs. The legs of each channel are so sized and configured that when the required number of correct coins are introduced into its coin slot, switch means are closed to energize the drive means of the conveyor corresponding to that coin slot. Means are also provided to discharge the coins from the channel lets to a coin receptacle, to reject incorrect coins and to block off each coin channel when the article containers of the corresponding conveyor are empty or the power source necessary for movement of the conveyor has failed.

    摘要： An apparatus for directing electrical current to a controlled device in response to the introduction of a plurality of coins into the apparatus includes a coin chute and two switches located along the coin chute such that a coin passing through the chute will actuate the switches in succession. The switches are connected in series with each other and with the controlled device. The second switch when closed energizes the coil of a relay switch and that relay switch is connected in parallel with the second switch to bypass the second switch. Thus, the first coin effects closure of the relay switch which renders the second switch ineffective, so that the first switch only prevents operation of the controlled device. Thereafter, the subsequent coin closes the first switch and energizes the controlled device.

    摘要： A coin control arrangement wherein the operation of a device may be released for use upon the insertion of a prescribed coin is disclosed which employs a coin drop having no mechanical linkage with the device whose operation is to be released after the deposit of the coin. The absence of mechanical linkage precludes fraudulent use of the machine that is sometimes possible when prior art mechanical plunger type coin inserts are used. The coin drop is equipped with an electrical switch momentarily operated by the passage of the coin. The switch momentarily operates a solenoid which operates and unlatches a priorly mechanically latched microswitch. The microwswitch contacts provide a first operating path to a motor driven cam one of whose lobes mechanically releases the device for use. The cam provides a temporary auxiliary operating path for the motor incident to the relatching of the microswitch. Continued action of the cam then breaks the operating path for the motor and readies the apparatus for subsequent operation. A multiple coin control embodiment is also disclosed.
