摘要： An electronic cash register comprises a keyboard having a plurality of numeral entry keys and function keys, a drawer to be opened after the depression of a specified function key, a printer for printing on a blank receipt the data defined by operation of the entry keys and function keys, and a receipt feed device for feeding a blank receipt and taking out a printed receipt. The electronic cash register is further provided with a detection device and a receipt cutting device. The detection device detects the drawer-shutting and thus actuates the receipt cutting device when the drawer is shut.

摘要： A calculator for continuously exhibiting the status of an individual's Bio-Rhythm cycles and, in particular, an individual's physical, emotional and intellectual Bio-Rhythm cycles. The calculator comprises a display panel having three dial faces corresponding to the three Bio-Rhythm cycles and each having indicia thereon defining the critical days within its particular cycle. Indicating elements are provided to sequentially scan each of the dial faces wherein the physical dial face is scanned once in a 23 day period, the emotional dial face once in a 28 day period and the intellectual dial face once in a 33 day period. A high or low critical day in any one of the Bio-Rhythm cycles is defined when the position of an indicating element corresponds to the critical indicia on a dial face. The calculator may be personalized by appropriately presetting the indicating elements relative to their dial faces based on data derivable from an individual's birth date.

摘要： A device for transmitting information in the form of an electrical signal to at least one mechanism for giving a readout of the information, comprises a readout mechanism which has at least one symbol wheel which carries symbols on its circumference. A plurality of angularly spaced and radially extending actuating members are affixed to a drive shaft which rotates to move the actuating members in a first plane. The actuating members are divertible into a second plane parallel to the first plane by a switch arranged in the plane of movement of the actuators so as to selectively divert the actuating members into a second plane. The actuating members have individual symbols corresponding to the number of readout symbols and guide walls are provided for supporting the actuators and the switch, as well as a gear drive for a symbol wheel in the respective first and second planes. A relay is employed for sensing the symbol position of the symbol wheel and it is connected to the switch to energize the switch. Gear means are located in respective first and second planes in a position to be engaged by the actuating members upon rotation of the drive shaft in order to cause rotation and indexing of the symbol wheel.
