Abstract:
Apparati and methods for dispensing sanitizer fluid via handles on doors and equipment, and data and recording events pertaining to hand sanitization, are disclosed.
Abstract:
A volatile material dispenser includes a drive unit adapted to be releasably mounted on a container having a tilt-activated valve stem. The drive unit is adapted to radially displace the tilt-activated valve stem. A flexible tube having a discharge end is fixedly held with respect to the container. The flexible tube is adapted to be in fluid communication with the tilt-activated valve stem.
Abstract:
An overcap for a dispenser includes a housing mountable on a container. The container includes a tilt-activated valve stem with a discharge end. The discharge end of the valve stem is adapted to be in fluid communication with a discharge orifice of the housing. A drive unit is disposed within the housing, wherein the drive unit includes a solenoid, a bi-metallic actuator, a piezo-linear motor, or an electro-responsive wire, which is adapted to impart transverse motion to the valve stem to open a valve of the container.
Abstract:
An actuator assembly is disclosed which can dispense chemicals, such as insect control ingredients, from an aerosol container. The actuator assembly is mountable to the aerosol container and includes a burstable barrier and an extrudable (e.g. paste) plug. Upon initial activation, the pressure from inside of the container presses the burstable barrier which in turn presses the paste plug to cause at least a portion of the plug to move to a position where it is visible and provides a cue that a delay period has started. The device can be manually activated, but is designed so that thereafter it does not need to be manually held open. The user has time to leave the room before spraying begins, and does not need to be present in the room before spraying has finished.
Abstract:
A vertical pushing device for a perfume sprayer having a base member, a motor connected to the base member, an eccentric gear linked to the motor, a sliding block connected to a guide rail to the base, a switch member connected to the motor and interactive with a movement of a push board of the sliding block, and a controller for actuating the motor in response to signals from the switch. The push board of the sliding block contacts the nozzle of the perfume cannister so as to dispense perfume relative to a movement of the sliding block. The sliding block has a long hole which receives the eccentric gear therein.
Abstract:
A timing device is disclosed which is for controlling electronic devices and which is mounted in a wall switch box. This timing device comprises at least one controller, at least one transceiver in communication with the controller, at least one interface; and at least one cover plate. This device can also include at least one key coupled to the cover plates for interacting with the interface when said cover plate is inserted onto said at least one interface.
Abstract:
A method of operating a dispensing unit includes the step of providing a power source to a dispensing unit that includes a housing having at least two aerosol containers disposed therein and an actuator arm. The dispensing unit activates in response to a minimum threshold of light being sensed by a light sensor. The method also includes the step of providing a means for selecting a sleep period interval between spray operations.
Abstract:
A cartridge stores gas under pressure and a container stores a fragrance substance in the housing. A valve controls the release of the gas. An atomizer receives the gas and draws the fragrance substance from the container such that the fragrance substance is sprayed into the atmosphere. A controller opens the valve at predetermined intervals.
Abstract:
A controllable door handle sanitizer includes a base and an outer housing coupled to the base and movable between an open and a closed position. The sanitizer also includes a holder that receives and holds a container that stores a germicide and includes a first valve member. The holder is coupled to the base such that when the outer housing is opened, the container can be inserted and removed. The holder includes a biasing mechanism for applying a biasing force against the container to maintain the container in a fully loaded position. The sanitizer also includes an electronic valve module that includes a housing that is coupled to the base by engaging locating and support members integrally formed as part of the base. The module is positioned relative to the holder such that in the fully loaded position, the first valve member is actuated and opened, whereby discharge of the germicide is determined by an operating state of a second valve member of the electronic valve module.
Abstract:
An actuator cap for a dispenser includes a housing having first and second ends. The first end is adapted to be retained on an aerosol container having a valve stem. A conduit is provided having an inlet adapted to receive the valve stem of the container and to hold the valve stem in an actuated position to open a valve assembly within the container. A solenoid valve is in fluid communication with the conduit and a discharge orifice. The solenoid valve is transitioned from a closed state to an open state by a signal generated by a controller to provide a fluid path between the conduit and the discharge orifice. The controller is adapted to generate the signal in response to the manual depression of a trigger retained on the housing by a living hinge.
