Abstract:
A selection and actuation device for at least a first and second function of a watch movement includes a translationally and rotationally movable control stem respectively selecting and actuating at least one of the functions. The control stem occupies at least first, second and third distinct, successive axial positions. An actuating lever bears first and second wheels and pinions. The actuating lever occupies a neutral position when the control stem is in one of its first and third positions, and pivots, on either side of the neutral position, between a first driving position actuating the first function responsive to control stem rotation in a first direction, and a second driving position actuating the second function responsive to a control stem rotation in a second direction. Also disclosed is a movement including such a selection and actuation device as well as to a timepiece including such a movement.
Abstract:
A variation reduction mechanism of a stop position of a pointer includes a return gear that is driven in conjunction with a time display mechanism, a slip torque spring (friction member) that contacts the return gear to apply a friction force to the return gear to be driven, and a return spring (return spring member) that applies, to the slip torque spring, a torque of the return gear in a direction (dashed line arrow—R direction) opposite to a normal hand movement direction (arrow R direction).
Abstract:
A timepiece movement includes second, minute, and hour hand wheels with second, minute, and hour hand arbors; a 24-hour hand wheel with a 24-hour hand arbor; and a first to third guides that guide an arbor to which a hand attaches. The minute, hour, and 24-hour hand arbors have tubular configurations and are disposed coaxially to the second hand arbor. The minute hand arbor has a diameter greater than the second hand arbor, the hour hand arbor has a diameter greater than the minute hand arbor, and the 24-hour hand arbor has a diameter greater than the hour hand arbor. The first guide is between the second hand arbor and the minute hand arbor, the second guide is between the minute hand arbor and the hour hand arbor, and the third guide is between the hour hand arbor and the 24-hour hand arbor.
Abstract:
A positioning mechanism for a toothed wheel mounted on a rotatable staff in a watch movement, the positioning mechanism including a positioning lever exhibiting a flat lateral edge configured to cooperate with at least one flat provided on the staff of the toothed wheel. The positioning lever includes a pivot arm mounted in a pivotable manner about a pivot pin provided in the watch movement, a positioning element exhibiting the flat lateral edge and mounted in an articulated manner on the pivot arm, and a mechanism adjusting and locking the position of the positioning element on the pivot arm in relation to the staff of the toothed wheel.
Abstract:
Shockproof timepiece wheel for driving a component having unbalance relative to a pivot axis of this wheel, The wheel includes, on the one hand, an arbour for pivotally guiding the wheel about this pivot axis, and on the other hand, a drive device arranged or assembled on a flange of this wheel, the wheel including at least one flexible element between this arbour and the flange. The flange includes a cylindrical shoulder, which cooperates in abutment for centring purposes with a complementary cylindrical shoulder provided in the arbour to ensure the perfect concentricity of the drive device with the arbour.
Abstract:
In an arrangement for limiting the axial play of gears of a watch time indicating mechanism with drive gears rotatably supported on a support plate with axis extending normal thereto and an adjustment shaft extending parallel to the support plate, a cover plate is mounted on the support plate so as to overlay the gears with arms engaging the gears and further is provided with an arm bent-over into engagement with the adjustment shaft to limit their axial play. The cover plate is U-shaped and has edge portions thereof resiliently received under projections of the support plate for firmly retaining the cover plate on the support plate.
Abstract:
The invention provides a positioning mechanism for a center wheel in a tiiece enabling precision positioning for the seconds or minutes hand relative to the dial divisions. It comprises a jumper spring (1) friction mounted onto the base plate and cooperating with the teeth (3) of the center wheel (4) and a wheel member (29) interposed between the center wheel (4) and the motor pinion (14). The wheel member includes a pinion (17) meshing with the center wheel as well as a gear (16) friction mounted relative to said pinion and meshing with the motor pinion. The positioning method consists of immobilizing the motor pinion then turning the center wheel to bring the end of the jumper spring into coincidence with a tooth space thereof. The invention is employed to position exactly the seconds or minutes hand of an electronic timepiece having a stepping motor.
