    摘要: A spring barrel is rotatably mounted on a barrel arbor. A spring core is non-rotatably connected to said barrel arbor and surrounds the same. A coiled spring is disposed in said barrel and has an inner end secured to said spring core and an outer end secured to said barrel. A ratchet wheel is non-rotatably connected to said spring core on one side of said spring and is formed with ratchet teeth. A locking lever is disposed on that side of said ratchet teeth which is remote from said spring and is frictionally coupled to said spring core and has locking tooth means adjacent to said ratchet teeth. In addition to the spring barrel assembly comprising the above parts, a mainspring mechanism comprises a barrel bridge, in which said barrel arbor is rotatably mounted, first and second stops carried by said bridge and spaced apart in the peripheryl direction of said ratchet wheel, and a winding wheel having winding wheel teeth which are in mesh with said ratchet teeth and protrude from said ratchet teeth on the side remote from said spring. The locking lever is disposed between said first and second stops and is movable against the force of said spring from a first position, in which said locking lever engages said first stop and said locking tooth means interengage with said winding wheel teeth, to a second position, in which said locking lever engages said second stop and said locking tooth means are disengaged from said winding wheel teeth.

    摘要: In a motion transformer for converting oscillatory to rotary motion, comprising (a) an enclosure including a base plate and a cover plate, (b) a ratchet wheel structure within the enclosure mounted for both oscillatory and rotary motion, (c) a pair of stops limiting the amplitude of such oscillatory motion, (d) a ratchet pawl and a restraining member coacting with the ratchet wheel to convert oscillatory motion thereof to unidirectional rotary motion, (e) magnetic coupling means attracting the ratchet wheel structure toward the enclosure base member, and (f) at least three and preferably four hard support members for supporting the ratchet wheel in spaced relation with the base plate, the support members, which preferably are of jewel stone or equivalent hard material, are balls firmly secured as by a press fit in openings symetrically disposed adjacent the periphery of the ratchet wheel structure. The magnetic coupling may be provided by magnetizing the ratchet wheel structure, preferably with four symetrically spaced poles coinciding substantially with the ball support members.

    摘要: An oscillating motor for a watch comprises a driven tuning fork or mechanical resonator driving a ratchet wheel. The fork carries a hermetically sealed housing on one of its tines, the housing enclosing a ratchet wheel fixed with a magnetized disc which constitutes part of a magnetic coupling. The ratchet wheel floats on a liquid film in the housing and is driven by pawls when the fork vibrates. The rotation of the ratchet is conveyed to the watch mechanism by the other half of the magnetic coupling, which is pivotally mounted outside the housing.
