Abstract:
A selection and actuation device for at least a first and second function of a watch movement includes a translationally and rotationally movable control stem respectively selecting and actuating at least one of the functions. The control stem occupies at least first, second and third distinct, successive axial positions. An actuating lever bears first and second wheels and pinions. The actuating lever occupies a neutral position when the control stem is in one of its first and third positions, and pivots, on either side of the neutral position, between a first driving position actuating the first function responsive to control stem rotation in a first direction, and a second driving position actuating the second function responsive to a control stem rotation in a second direction. Also disclosed is a movement including such a selection and actuation device as well as to a timepiece including such a movement.
Abstract:
A coupling device for timepieces that includes an entry wheel, a coupling wheel, and a first exit wheel. The coupling wheel is disposed substantially coplanar to the plane of rotation of the entry wheel and of the first exit wheel and is adapted to tilt relative to the plane of rotation to occupy a first coupling position in which the coupling wheel meshes with the first exit wheel and a second coupling position in which the coupling wheel is decoupled from the first exit wheel. The device also includes a movable element to control the change of position between the first and the second position of the coupling wheel. The coupling wheel defines an axis of rotation that can be inclined relative to the normal to the plane of rotation of the entry wheel and of the first exit wheel by being mounted pivotably at each of the ends thereof.
Abstract:
Control mechanism for a timepiece movement, including, in a housing in a main plate, a control stem that is movable in a longitudinal direction and including a groove cooperating with a stud comprised in a pull-out piece for actuating the pivoting of the pull-out piece on the main plate, this pull-out piece is held in position by a jumper spring, and the mechanism including a bridge cooperating with the main plate to confine the stem, and this bridge includes a housing in which there is a movable limiter piston, arranged to abut on one end of a trunnion comprised in the pull-out piece under the application of a force in a transverse direction substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, to allow the release of the stem after a given travel of the limiter piston.

671,828. Clocks and watches. ETA AKT.- GES. EBAUCHES-FABRIK. March 26, 1949 [March 30, 1948], No. 8286/49. Class 139 A winding and setting mechanism for watch and clock movements comprises a rocking bar pivotally mounted on a movement plate, three intermediate wheels pivotally mounted on said rocking bar on the side thereof turned towards the dial, a setting lever for moving said rocking bar and a setting lever spring having a foot of plate-like form, which is positioned on the side of the wheels opposite said rocking bar and holds the wheels against axial movement. The rocking bar 3, Figs. 1, 2, is pivotally mounted on a tubular portion 2 of a plate 1 and carries two pins 4 and 5 on which the outer intermediate wheels 6 and 7 are loosely mounted. The wheels 6 and 7 mesh with a wheel 8. The wheels 6, 7 and 8 are retained against axial movement by the foot 10 of a setting lever spring 11 which co-operates with the setting lever 12 in the known way. The foot 10 of the spring 11 is fixed to the plate 1 by a screw 13 and the rocking bar spring 15 is situated in a recess 14 of the plate 1 and co-operates with a pin 16 on the rocking bar 3.
