摘要: A planographic printing member precursor comprises a first component, for example a hydroxy group containing polymer, and a second component which may be a siloxane or a compound of general formula (I): wherein M represents a silicon or a titanium atom and each of R1, R2, R3 and R4 is independently selected from hydrogen or halogen atoms; a hydroxy group, an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl group; an optionally substituted alkoxy group; or an optionally substituted saturated or unsaturated cyclic or heterocyclic group. On exposure, the second component reacts with the first component to define an oleophobic/hydrophilic material in exposed areas and in non-exposed areas the second component is removed, on processing of the precursor.

摘要: The present invention relates to solvent-developable printing formulations useful for the manufacture of printing plates. In particular, the present invention provides formulations which exhibit markedly improved processing characteristics when deposited on a printing plate, such as reduced tack, increased image resolution, and/or improved mechanical properties, e.g., tensile strength, elongation. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, there are provided methods for the preparation of said formulations and methods for use thereof.

摘要: Anti-reflective compositions and methods of using these compositions to form circuits are provided. The compositions comprise a polymer dissolved or dispersed in a solvent system. In a preferred embodiment, the polymers of the composition include recurring units having the formula where X is a light-attenuating moiety, M is a metal, and each R is individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyls, aryls, alkoxys, and phenoxys. The resulting compositions are spin bowl compatible (i.e., they do not crosslink prior to the bake stages of the microlithographic processes or during storage at room temperature), are wet developable, and have superior optical properties.

摘要: A silver halide imaging element is disclosed that is capable of providing a sharp image with silver halide grains still present following imagewise exposure and development. This is achieved by choosing a dispersing medium for the silver halide grains comprised of an organic vehicle and, dispersed therein, titanium dioxide particles having an average size of less than 0.1 micrometer accounting for at least 10 percent by weight of the dispersing medium. The elements are useful for optical printing or scan image retrieval without fixing. The elements can be used for providing black-and-white photographic images, radiographic images or dye images.

摘要: A photocurable composition containing at least a radical polymerizable unsaturated group-bearing compound, a metal allene compound, a squalilium dye, and N,N-dimethylaniline. The photocurable composition is polymerized and cured by generation of radicals upon receipt of low energy of visible light having long wavelengths or near infrared light.
