    摘要: A combination of a measuring sensor and protector having a measuring sensor with a housing and having an elongated cup-like protective pipe engaged with the housing. The pipe has a bottom having a convex shape with an inlet opening. The pipe also has at least one outlet opening spaced away from the bottom. A deflector extends inward from the pipe at an acute angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the pipe and away from the bottom so that when gas flows longitudinally within the pipe from the inlet opening, the gas is deflected by the deflector to flow around the deflector to the at least one outlet opening. The bottom also has a boss-like bulging portion projecting outward to form the inlet opening so as to reduce contamination of the measuring element by preventing solid particles in the gas from entering inside the pipe.

    摘要: An apparatus and method are disclosed for the continuous monitoring of pH in a fluid stream flowing at a low volumetric flow rate. The stream is directed through an enclosed conduit with a glass electrode sealed therein. The conduit wall facing the electrode has contour approximately complementary in shape to the sensing surface of the electrode with a narrow gap between the opposing surfaces through which the fluid passes, forcing rapid and uniform flow of the fluid over the electrode surface. Continuous operation is thereby permitted for extended time periods without substantial fouling of the surfaces.

    摘要: A limiting current type oxygen analyzer designed for detecting oxygen concentration comprising a solid electrolyte element made from an oxygen ion conductive metal oxide and a pair of porous film electrodes provided on the inner and outer sides of said element respectively, at least one side electrodes being coated with a gas-diffusive resistive layer made from a porous insulating metal oxide, wherein the oxygen ions in the gas to which said element is exposed are caused to diffuse in the inside of said electrolyte element by applying a given voltage across said both electrodes and the limiting current corresponding to the concentration of said diffused oxygen ions is measured to determine the oxygen concentration in the gas to be analyzed, further characterized in that said gas-diffusive resistive layer is composed of a three-layer structure consisting of the first, second and third layers counted from the electrode side, said first layer having porosity of 11-15%, the second layer 6-8% and the third layer 15-20%.

    摘要: An electrode that is specific for the isocyanurate ion, and capable of rapid determination of the free isocyanurate ion activity directly in solution uses as its sensing element a platinum wire covered with a polyvinyl chloride membrane. The membrane is plasticized with a solution of a quaternary ammonium salt of isocyanuric acid. When this electrode and a commercial reference electrode are immersed in a solution containing the isocyanurate ion, a differential voltage proportional to the isocyanurate ion concentration is generated which is detected by a pH meter.

    摘要: An oxygen sensor is disclosed, which includes a planar sensor element and a metallic cover. The planar sensor element is provided with a detecting section at least at one of outer side surfaces thereof for detecting a gas to be measured. The detecting section is protected with the metallic cover. The metallic cover is provided with gas introduction openings for introducing the gas into the metallic cover. The gas introduction openings are arranged so as not to be opposed to the detecting section of the oxygen sensor element. Guide plates are provided at the gas introduction openings, respectively for swirling the gas inside the metallic cover in a given direction. The metallic cover is provided with a gas discharge opening at the bottom face thereof.
