Abstract:
A fluid dispenser for measuring and dispensing fluid from a container includes a housing having a measurement chamber that defines a volume for receiving a predefined quantity of the fluid, a fluid flow passage having an inlet configured to be in fluid communication with the fluid in the container, and an outlet in fluid communication with the measurement chamber, such that the fluid flow passage permits fluid flow between the container and the measurement chamber. A valve member is provided that is movable in the flow passage to open the flow passage to permit fluid flow from the container to the measurement chamber to thereby allow the volume of the measurement chamber to fill with the predefined quantity of fluid; and to close the flow passage to restrict fluid flow from the container to the measurement chamber, and to isolate the predefined quantity of fluid to the measurement chamber.

Abstract:
Provided is a self-metering container, an initial positioning device thereof and an initial positioning method. The container comprises a container body, a variable pressure component, a metering channel and an outflow channel. When the variable pressure component is depressurized, contents in the container body enter the metering channel; and when the variable pressure component is pressurized, the contents in the metering channel flow outwards via the outflow channel. The container further comprises an initial positioning device. The initial positioning device comprises a backflow cavity, a backflow channel and a component capable of closing the backflow channel. The backflow cavity is in communication with the variable pressure component and the initial end of the metering channel. The initial end of the metering channel is higher than the bottom of the backflow cavity. The backflow channel is in communication with the bottom of the backflow cavity and the container body.
Abstract:
An automatic fluid soap dispensing apparatus and method, comprising a dispensing spout, housing operatively connected to the dispensing spout and the housing adapted to removably receive and hold a fluid soap containing reservoir module in communication with the dispensing spout. The reservoir module has a central axis, and includes a pump mechanism and delivery tube mounted on the reservoir module in alignment with the central axis. The dispensing tube is adapted to move in the dispensing spout when the pump mechanism is actuated.
Abstract:
The metering device is adapted to be installed on the neck of a liquid product container so that, when the container is upended or otherwise oriented to supply the device with liquid, actuation of the device results in the release of a pre-sized dose of the product by gravity. Several different embodiments of the invention are disclosed, all but one of which adapt the device for filling its dosage accumulation chamber when the device is in a standby condition ready for dispensing. The other embodiment adapts the device to maintain its dosage accumulation chamber normally empty and to fill such chamber only upon temporary actuation.
Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing liquid or pasty substances to gelatin capsules and the like, in particular for dispensing pharmaceutical products thereto. In order to maintain the substance to be dispensed in relative motion to prevent deleterious thickening, the apparatus includes a reciprocating dispensing control plunger which periodically enters a capsule or container to be filled. If no container is present and no dispensing is to take place, the control plunger retreats into a position wherein a separate metering piston continues to transport the material but returns it to a storage container via a conrol channel in the control plunger.
Abstract:
A valve assembly for providing a measured amount of fluid under pressure from a bulk supply thereof. The bulk supply has a valved outlet which may be opened by a probe. The probe is slidably disposed in a valve housing which also contains a fluid measuring chamber. A valved outlet passage leads from the measuring chamber to an outlet adapted to receive a fluid line. The outlet passage and outlet are offset from the probe so that dispensed fluid does not pass through the probe or probe passage. The outlet passage valve is normally open but is closed when the probe is moved to open the bulk supply outlet valve. A rocking lever connects the probe and outlet passage valve to open and close the latter.
Abstract:
A device for securing an attachment, such as a spray pump, onto the neck of a bottle consisting of positioning the spray pump on the bottle neck, and ensuring the fixing thereof by means of an intermediate piece bearing both on the barrel of the pump and the outside of the bottle.
Abstract:
A valve for use in dispensing a metered amount of an aerosol spray. A valve with a body mounted on the container and a moving stem having a metering chamber and an outlet chamber. A spring urging the stem to a closed position blocking the metering chamber from the atmosphere, with the stem movable to a charge position for charging the metering chamber, with discharge of the metered amount from the metering chamber through the outlet chamber occurring as the stem returns to the closed position.
