Abstract: A firearm can have a bolt having a plurality of locking lugs that are configured to have a shear area that is larger than that of a standard M16/M4. A bolt carrier can have a bolt that has a double cut cam having an unlocking cam surface that has sufficient dwell increase to delay a start of unlocking when the bolt carrier is used in an M4 carbine. A stepped extractor pin may be provided that prevents disengagement of the extractor pin. A tube can be configured to provide gas from a barrel of the firearm to the piston via the carrier key. The tube can have a heat radiator formed from triangular shaped threads on at least a portion of the tube. A piston on the bolt and can have a plurality of rings including pairs of mating rings that are formed and maintained as a matched pair.

Abstract: A firearm including a receiver, a barrel, a breech bolt assembly, and a trigger assembly. The bolt assembly has a bolt including a body portion, a lug portion, and a firing pin bore. The lug portion includes outward extending lugs, a cartridge recess, and an off-center hole. The bolt assembly also includes an extractor and an ejector pin. At least some of the lugs on the lug portion of the bolt have a tapering outer face so that a rearward face of the respective lug is taller than a forward face of the respective lug. In another aspect, at least some of the lugs on the lug portion of the bolt have tapering side faces so that a rearward face of the respective lug is wider than a forward face of the respective lug.

Abstract: A rifle has a receiver, a cartridge chamber connected to the receiver, and a bolt slideable longitudinally in the receiver, the bolt is engageable with a cartridge in the chamber. A bolt carrier is slideable longitudinally in the receiver to move the bolt into and out of engagement with a cartridge in the cartridge chamber, and a bolt handle is connected to the bolt carrier. The bolt handle is positionable in a manual position extending from one side of the rifle to permit manual firing of the rifle and in a semiautomatic position about 180 degrees different from the manual position and extending from the other side of the rifle to permit semiautomatic firing of the rifle. The position of the bolt carrier may be changed between the manual and semiautomatic positions without removing the bolt carrier from the rifle.

Abstract: Provided is a revolver with a two chambers cylinder, of the type having a low profile and with no protruding parts from the frame. The revolver includes a frame which has a grip at its rear portion, a trigger at its lower portion and a barrel at its front portion. The frame further includes a central opening that defines the cylinder housing. The cylinder has an oblong shape and has two chambers, radially opposite with respect to the rotation axis of the cylinder. The cylinder rotation before firing is obtained by means of the trigger actuation, which causes an upward movement of the cylinder impeller and the consequent rotation of the gear, due to interaction between the pinion and the teeth of the cylinder impeller. The transfer of the rotational movement of the gear to the cylinder is made from a ratchet, which is partially arranged within said cylinder.

Abstract: A self-loading firearm operating on the short-recoil principle which comprises a frame having a handgrip and adapted to receive a magazine. A breech block slide is mounted for alternating longitudinal movement along the frame.
