摘要: An aiming method for a weapon system including a weapon secured to a chassis, as well as an aiming device implementing such a method. The weapon system includes a computer having in an internal memory a nominal firing profile defined by the extreme elevation and relative bearing aiming instructions that are possible for the weapon, in the reference frame associated with the chassis, when the latter is in a firing position on a horizontal ground. The boundaries of the nominal firing profile are converted so as to determine a transformed firing profile which is delimited by the extreme directions of fire that are possible in the reference frame of the chassis when the latter is in the firing position on the field, and finally the operating firing profile is determined for the aiming, which is defined as the geometric intersection of the nominal firing profile and the transformed firing profile.

摘要: New targeting systems, hardware and techniques are provided, in which an auxiliary probe is first launched and deployed at a target. Extremely precise, deliberate targeting for future projectiles, weapons or non-lethal measures is then made relative to the position and orientation of the probe. In one embodiment, a system enables a sniper to plan measures with extreme precision within an environment, evaluate their effectiveness, and execute them extremely rapidly once satisfied. A user may create, set, adjust and execute Impact Point indicators, corresponding with projected points of impact of a projectile on a target subject within a target environment. The system may counteract and otherwise adjust for certain ballistic and environmental factors in a firing mechanism to maintain such an Impact Point fire ready, in real time. Yet the system is unobtrusive, allowing the user to engage ordinary targeting activity.

摘要: Belt/Metallic Link Chain Loaded Ammunition Feeder in a Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS). The feeder includes a feeding mechanism for routing chained ammunition from ammunition reservoir means towards the weapon's bullets entrance opening. The feeding mechanism has a first chute assembly for routing chained ammunition from the ammunition reservoir means towards the region of the RCWS's elevating/lowering axis, and a second chute assembly for continuing routing the chained ammunition from the region of the elevating/lowering axis towards the entry opening of the bullets entrance of the weapon. The chained ammunition traverses over the elevating/lowering axis region by passing from the first chute assembly to the second chute assembly. The first chute assembly remains static and the second chute assembly is dynamic and propelled together with the mounting bracket assembly around the elevating/lowering axis.
