    摘要: A nozzle assembly for a fan unit includes an inner nozzle having a tapered outer diameter and a flow path radially inward from the tapered outer diameter with respect to a longitudinal axis of the nozzle assembly. The flow path is configured to guide a fluid flow and to expel the fluid flow through an inner outlet of the inner nozzle to a surrounding environment. The nozzle assembly also includes an outer nozzle disposed radially outward from the inner nozzle with respect to the longitudinal axis. The outer nozzle and the tapered outer diameter of the inner nozzle define an annular flow path therebetween. The annular flow path is configured to guide the fluid flow and to expel the fluid flow to the surrounding environment through an outer outlet of the outer nozzle. A cross-sectional area of the outer outlet is adjustable via movement of the inner nozzle, the outer nozzle, or both along the longitudinal axis of the nozzle assembly.

Moisture flows down the interior walls of the conduit and collects in a collection lip in the conduit drain. A drain channel is produced around the inner circumference of the conduit drain by the collection lip. The moisture collects within the drain channel and is drawn off into a drain port that is coupled to a drain pipe.

    摘要: A chimney stack exhaust treatment unit and an improved exhaust gas treatment system utilizing such a unit are disclosed. The unit comprises a generally spherical outer housing which fits over the mouth of a caustic-resistant chimney pipe and encloses a horizontally mounted squirrel cage fan which is driven by an electric motor situated above it. The fan is situated directly above the chimney mouth so that when it is rotated, exhaust gases are drawn up through the chimney and swirled around the inner walls of the outer housing. Exhaust ports near the top of the housing provide an exit for treated gas. An inner housing encloses a fan motor, isolating it from the interior of the outer sphere. A conduit connects an opening in the outer sphere with an opening in the inner housing, and the inner housing includes a mouth directly above the fan, whereby rotation of the fan also draws outside air through the inner housing to cool the motor.

    摘要: A cogeneration system is provided which includes a prime mover for obtaining power for driving a generator by combustion of a fuel, a waste heat boiler for recovering thermal energy from exhaust gas discharged from the prime mover, and a heat exchanger for heating air that is to be fed into an air conditioner by heat exchange with the exhaust gas discharged from the waste heat boiler. Drain water that is generated from the exhaust gas cooled by heat exchange in the air-heating heat exchanger (5) with the air that is to be fed into the air conditioner (30) is recovered by drain water recovery/supply means (36). The drain water recovery/supply means (36) supplies the drain water thus recovered to appliances (37, 38) that require comparatively high temperature water. Thermal energy can thus be recovered effectively from the drain water discharged from the heat exchanger on the downstream side of the waste heat boiler, thereby improving the efficiency of recovery of waste heat energy.

    摘要: A lightweight, modular chimney heat economizer adapted to replace a portion of the chimney for a combustion heat source in a building. The economizer includes a plurality of flue tubes having their ends welded to a pair of spaced apart tube sheets. Connected between the tube sheets and surrounding the flue tubes are inner and outer casings between which are sandwiched a layer of nonflammable insulation. The upper and lower tube sheets include outwardly extending flanges adapted to enable the economizer to be removeably secured in place so it may be easily installed and easily removed for maintenance and repair. The casings are provided with expansion joints. The top ends of the flue tubes may be flush with or recessed from the top surface of the upper tube sheet, and an upwardly projecting flange may surround the upper ends of the flue tubes to encourage condensed products from the combustion gases to drain into the flue pipes where they may be disposed of. The economizer may include baffles within the inner casing and may be adapted to have air circulated from top to bottom within the economizer to increase the thermal transfer from the flue pipes to the air circulated within the inner casing. A thermostat may be provided to maintain the temperature of the combustion gases in the flue tubes at about 350.degree. F. to prevent products in the combustion gases, and particularly creosote, from condensing in the flue tubes. The economizer may include a water heater.

    摘要: A flue damper may include a flue pipe with a first side leading to an outlet of the flue damper and a second side leading to an inlet of the flue damper. A damper gate may be included and have an open state and a closed state, where in the open state, the first side of the flue pipe is in fluid communication with the second side, and where in the closed state, the damper gate interrupts fluid communication between the first side and the second side. A float may be secured to an upper surface of the damper gate. The upper surface of the damper gate may face the first side of the flue pipe when the damper gate is in the closed state such that the damper gate at least partially opens when condensate collects within the first side of the flue pipe.
