摘要： A pellet stove, having a pellet hopper, a combustion chamber, a heat exchanger and a pellet movement assembly, adapted to move the pellets from the hopper into the combustion chamber. The pellet movement assembly is located and configured so as to be heated by exhaust gases from the combustion chamber and the pellets spend a sufficient amount of time in the pellet movement assembly, where oxygen is prevented from freely flowing in, so that the pellets are torrefied during transit to the combustion chamber.

摘要： A vibratory feed mechanism for pellet fuel combustion device provides a spring-mounted feed plate communicating with a fuel reservoir and vibrated by an electric motor carrying an offset counterweight to move pelletized fuel from a first position on the feed plate to a feed orifice defined in the feed plate for communication of the pelletized fuel to a metering channel and a drop tube for conveyance to a fire pot. A control board communicating with an igniter, at least one thermocouple, a combustion fan, and the electric motor allow a user to set a desired parameter which controls the rate of pelletized fuel feed and temperature and operating conditions.

摘要： An atmospheric water heating system is presented, where hot gasses from a burner are introduced directly to water. The water is exposed to the burner exhaust gasses as a film upon a series of rotating discs partially submerged in a reservoir. The water vaporizes and then re-condenses on subsequent discs, cooling the exhaust gas and heating the reservoir water. The heated reservoir water may be used to heat space heating water with a water-to-water heat exchanger. The water vapor may be used to heat environmental forced hot air with a vapor-to-air heat exchanger.

摘要： A drying device for a wood-waste collecting machine includes a blower set on the base of the machine and a heating member connected between the blower and the conveying device of the machine. The blower has an air outlet connected with a windpipe, and the heating member is connected with one end of the windpipe, having a tubular member and a heating element in the tubular member. Between the other end of the heating member and a preset sidewall of the container of the conveying device is provided a pipe joint, for air sucked by the blower blown in the heating member to heat. Then heated air is blown through the air holes of the sidewall of the collecting chamber of the container of the conveying device to dry wood waste therein and then compressed in the compressing device of the machine to become tight solid blocks.

摘要： The apparatus and method are improvements over the refuse derived fuel (RDF) handling system disclosed in applicant's U.S. Pat. No. 4,774,893, in which the activated bins are equipped with centerless baffles made up of a plurality of stub type internal baffles affixed cantilever fashion to the bin side walls at predetermined levels downwardly of the bin, with the baffles having increased length as the levels of same approach the bin discharge outlet, that avoid the formation of vertical bridges building up from the top baffle through the bin inlet to clog and feed of the RDF to the respective bins, the use of cycle type operation or pulsing for the vibrating feeder drives on start up of the system to eliminate vertical bridging up from the feeder trough into and through the activated bins supplying same and insure the steady low feed rate required while the power plant furnaces involved are brought up to temperate, and to provide the system vibrating feeders with an inclined ramp type obstruction upstream but adjacent the feeder trough RDF discharge outlet to the furnace fuel feed chute serviced by same to insure that the RDF supplied to the furnace feed chute was conveyed solely by vibration, whereby the tendency of some furnace fire chambers to operate at negative pressure, which can result in the loss of control of the discharge rate of the feeder servicing same, is not a factor in the supply of the RDF to the furnace fire chamber.

摘要： An improvement for use in a mechanical stoker with a coal stove is disclosed. The improvement device is used with a stoker, generally including a hopper, operatively connected to a small stove having a fire box forming an ash pit. The fire box, through its sides sloping downward from the hopper, supports a ramp. The lower portion of the ramp is a perforated fire grate, while the upper portion is a plate that extends through the hopper bottom and into the stove. A fan effecting a forced draft through the grate is operatively connected to a fan motor. The improvement comprises a wiper bar which overlies generally the width of the plate. The wiper bar oscillates about the longitudinal center line of the plate to feed coal or other solid fuels from the hopper onto the grate. The oscillation of the wiper bar is effected by eccentric connection to a gear motor. When coal is fed into the hopper and the wiper bar is activated by the gear motor, the wiper bar will move in oscillation so that coal falling on the ramp from the hopper will continually advance in an even flow from the leading edge of the plate onto the grate.
