摘要： An apparatus and method for repairing broken, compromised, damaged or cracked conduits is provided. Conduits such as pipes and tubing may bear fluid flows therethrough. Often these conduits are damaged or compromised and begin leaking fluid. A clamp is provided that holds expandable metal securely about the outer circumference of the conduit. The expandable metal may react with any leaking fluid, such as water, thereby expanding and sealing the crack or otherwise seals the compromised conduit in a permanent manner.

摘要： A clamp for repair of a pipe coupling, includes a clamp unit including a side wall with an inner surface, the inner surface having a curvature dimensioned to match an outer curvature of a pipe coupling to be repaired. A coupling on the clamp unit is constructed and arranged to couple a first portion of the clamp unit with a second portion of the clamp unit. The coupling, when secured, operates to induce a radially inward force on the inner surface of the clamp unit. A window is formed as an opening in the side wall of the clamp unit. The window is dimensioned to expose a flange of a pipe coupling to be repaired.

摘要： The disclosure relates to improved fastening mechanisms having both sufficient stiffness to bear a load and the ability to fit securely on a wide-range of sizes and shapes of tubing, including tapered tubing. Embodiments include a fastening mechanism with a first body part having a first inner surface, and a second body part having a second inner surface. A first fastening set may be disposed at a first end of the first and second body parts. A second fastening set may be disposed at a second end of the first and second body parts. The first and second fastening sets may be capable of securing the first and second body parts about a central tube, which may have tapered dimensions. The first inner surface and the second inner surface may each have a first subsurface and a second subsurface, the first subsurfaces may have a first contour, the second subsurfaces may have a second contour, and the first contour may fit a different size and shape of tubing than the second contour.
