摘要: A flanged fitting includes an annular fitting flange having an annular end face. A glass liner lines a radially inner annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange. A radially outer annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange is free from the glass liner. The radially inner annular portion and the radially outer annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange define an annular gasket abutment face configured to seat a gasket thereon. An annular gasket includes an annular gasket layer. The annular gasket layer includes a radially inner annular gasket segment including a first material suitable for forming a liquid-tight seal with an opposing flange. A radially outer annular gasket segment surrounds the radially inner annular gasket segment. The radially outer annular gasket segment is fire-rated for forming a fire-rated seal with the opposing flange.

A second duct segment may include a second flange including a second planar mating face and a second recess. The first duct segment and the second duct segment may be installed in a gas turbine engine. A first E-seal may be inserted in the first recess, and a second E-seal may be inserted in the second recess. A gap may be measured between the first flange and the second flange. A flat shim may be selected based on the size of the gap. The flat shim may be inserted between the first flange and the second flange. A plurality of bolts may be inserted through the first flange, the flat shim, and the second flange to seal the first duct segment to the second duct segment.

摘要: A flange fixing structure is provided that fixes flange parts respectively provided to two pipe conduits by means of a fixture in a butting manner via a gasket. In this flange fixing structure, when an effective length of the fixture is denoted by L0, a linear expansion coefficient of the fixture is denoted by α0, thicknesses of n (where n is an integer of 1 or more) members held by the fixture are respectively denoted by t1 to tn, and linear expansion coefficients of the n members are respectively denoted by α1 to αn, a product L0α0 of the effective length L0 of the fixture and the linear expansion coefficient α0 of the fixture is substantially equal to a sum Σtiαi (i=1 to n) of products of the respective thicknesses t1 to tn and the respective linear expansion coefficients α1 to αn.

摘要: A connection or attachment joint between two coaxial cylindrical members having substantially different thermal coefficients of expansion.
