    摘要: A connector for use in vacuum system is configured to fluidly connect a first opening formed in a first vacuum chamber to a second opening formed in a second vacuum chamber, the first opening of the first vacuum chamber being provided within the second vacuum chamber. The connector comprises a tube and a biasing O-ring. The tube has an outer wall to define a fluid flow path between first and second ends of the tube. Towards the first end, a sealing portion of the outer wall of the tube is provided. Towards the second end, an O-ring retaining point is provided along the tube spaced apart from the second end of the tube. The biasing O-ring is provided around and tensioned by the outer wall of the tube. The biasing O-ring is moveable along the axial direction between the O-ring retaining point and a sealing position where it seals the connector.

    摘要: A seal assembly is configured for use at PVCO pipe junctions. The seal assembly includes a main seal body made of a monolithic resilient material, such as rubber, and a stiffener. The seal has a stiffener pocket sized and configured to accept the stiffener, such that the stiffener can be assembled to the seal body by hand. This assembly can then be installed into the bell end of a first PVCO pipe, and a spigot end of a second PVCO pipe may then be inserted into the bell end and engaged with a main sealing lobe of the seal assembly. The seal assembly is configured to reliably withstand the insertion process, without damage or degradation to the sealing structures. Once installed, the seal assembly provides a robust fluid-tight seal along all potential leak paths between the seal assembly and the first and second pipes.

    摘要: A pipe joint with a socket, and a pipe fitted into the socket. An annular seal is compressed between the socket and the pipe. The seal is electrically conductive and resiliently flexible. The socket or the pipe has a recess which houses the seal. The recess has a ridge in a base of the recess and the seal has a groove which extends around a radial periphery of the seal. The ridge fits into the groove to fool proof the installation, such that a standard non-conductive O-ring seal is more difficult to install in error.

The invention provides an internally restrained pipe joint including a bell with a substantially V-shaped annular groove. The gasket includes an inner radial face, an opening defined by the inner radial face and an outer radial face with a front radial section located adjacent to the front radial wall of the annular groove and a rear radial section located adjacent to the rear radial wall of the annular groove. A plurality of toothed, rigid restraining segments is at least partially embedded in the gasket.
