    摘要: A joist for a formwork grid construction component system is disclosed. Typical joists (sometimes referred to as secondary beams) span a distance of approximately six feet (when fully connected). By strengthening the joist using an altered profile while maintaining interoperable external dimensions, the span distance may be increased. That is, by forming the joists with the disclosed profile, joists can be made longer (e.g., have an eight foot connected span) and maintain appropriate strength or even have an increased weight tolerance. Formwork grid systems are used in construction of buildings and other structures. Interoperability with existing components is maintained by the disclosed joist profile adhering to the same external functional form factor as existing joists. The external form factor being the same allows joists constructed in accordance with this disclosure to properly function with existing formwork grid construction components.

According to one embodiment the perimeter protection system includes a perimeter protection structure configured for being fixed, in a working position, to the horizontal formwork system, and at least one auxiliary device configured for being fixed to the horizontal formwork system and for fixing the perimeter protection structure to the horizontal formwork system. The auxiliary device includes guiding means collaborating with a guide of the perimeter protection structure for positioning the perimeter protection structure in an initial assembly position. In the initial assembly position the structure is configured to be raised up to an intermediate position where it is permitted to swing until it is positioned in the working position.

    摘要: Disclosed is a prop head for connecting a formwork prop to an elevated concrete slab formwork waler table or the like; said waler table having a plurality of support beams having a cavity or gap space adapted to receive an upper part of said prop head, said table being adapted to receive a bolt across said gap or cavity; wherein said prop head has: a central plate having a front end, a rear end and two sides, said sides having downwardly projecting lower L-shape angle brackets therefrom, said brackets being adapted to receive the top of said prop in a horizontally sliding manner from said front end; a downwardly projecting stop wall from the rear end of said central plate, adapted to abut the upper part of said prop; an upper turret, rising from said lower plate, adapted to fit in said cavity or gap space; and having one or more laterally located slots or holes adapted to correspond with the position of complementary holes or slots in said support beams; and a hole or slot in said central plate adjacent said front end and adapted to receive a locking pin, bolt or wedge thereby to prevent said prop being removed from said brackets.     摘要: A drophead nut for use with formwork building components is disclosed. The disclosed drophead nut maintains standard outward dimensions to allow interoperability with existing systems. The hitting surface of the drophead nut is typically used to align a gap in the nut with a retention pin and thus allow the nut to drop. This in turn allows a mid-plate to fall releasing pressure on a beam (joist and/or main) to allow that beam to be removed. The impact surface of the disclosed drophead nut has been enlarged, reinforced, and possibly repositioned to increase leverage. The resulting drophead nut may allow for reduction in number of impacts on an impact surface to provide alignment of the gap and retention pin, and thus activate compression of the drophead nut.

    摘要: The present invention is an improved apparatus and method for forming a retractable tower or column. The present invention includes pointed hooks wherein the hooks are attached to each section of a section chain, one in a horizontal direction and one in an off-set manner. The section chains are placed on a take up mechanism in an operable position and then raised utilizing a motor. As the section chains are raised, they are guided by a guide tower, rollers, shims, and gear racks into a position whereby hooks from adjacent sections of the section chains form coupled engagements. The coupled engagement of the hooks of the sections of each adjacent section chains thereby form the column.
