摘要: A multi-functional railway fastening component adjustment system is disclosed. The system may include a railway component adjuster. The railway component adjuster may include adjustment tools pivotally coupled with a tool bracket. The railway component adjuster may be configured to selectively engage railway fastening components from different addressing positions of the adjustment tools at least in part by pivoting to a selected addressing position. The railway component adjuster may be adapted to hold the one or more adjustment tools in the selected addressing position to make a component adjustment to the railway fastening component with the adjustment tools. The component adjustment may include movement of the railway fastening component with respect to a rail of a railway.

摘要: This invention addresses issue of rail seat abrasion by completely removing all elastomers from directly contacting the rail by utilizing a shoulder post with a lower portion that is coated or encapsulated with a nonconductive material and a rolled or cast tie plate design that introduces a tie plate to the rail seat of the concrete tie. The coated or encapsulated lower portion of the shoulder is then cast into the concrete. By having the pad between the plate and the tie, it is subjected to vertical compression only with no rubbing action.

摘要: A rail fastener is described comprising a rail plate, a rail seat defined in an upper surface of the rail, rigid rail clips for engaging the flanges of the rail, bolts for securing the rail clips to the plate, a resilient pad mounted underneath the rail seat and extending the full width of the rail plate, and apparatus for securing the plate and pad against lateral movement with respect to the support structure while permitting the plate to move vertically. The plate securing apparatus preferably comprises a plurality of holes in the rail plate and pad, a tube within each hole, and a support plate on which the tube rests. Each tube has a hollow center and each support plate has a hole aligned therewith. A fastening element is driven through each tube and hole to secure the tube to the underlying support structure without contacting the rail plate. As a result, the tube and the fastening element prevent lateral movement of the rail plate and pad under lateral shear forces while the rail clip and its securing bolt permit adjustment of the position of the rail in the rail seat. Since the fastening element does not bear on the rail plate, the rail plate may move in the vertical direction in response to the forces exerted on it by a vehicle traveling on the rail. However, the vibrations created by such movement are damped by the resilient pad.

摘要: To hold a railway rail down on a support member, a device is employed having a first part driven into a vertical hole in the support member, a second part having a sideways projection, part of which lies vertically below a part of the support member, to one side of the bottom of the hole, and third, fourth and fifth parts forming an arch above the support member. A fulcrum portion of the first part co-operates with the wall of the hole during the driving operation to form a pivot about which said device rocks to cause the above-mentioned part of the projection to come under the above-mentioned part of the support member. From the lower extremity of the fifth part, i.e. the side of the arch which is further from the first part of the device, there extend sixth and seventh parts of the device, the sixth part sideways and the seventh part downwardly. A portion of a clip is driven under the arch and presses upwardly on it, another portion of the clip bears downwardly on the flange of the rail and a third portion bears downwardly on the sixth part of said device.

摘要: A machine frame for a scraper-chain conveyor employs a housing or `plough box` containing a chain wheel for driving a haulage chain. A stripper device is provided in the housing to separate the chain from the chain wheel. The stripper device is composed of a one-piece shaped element with an arcuate blade projecting into the chain wheel. The element is fitted to a mounting flange of the housing with a single upstanding bolt-and-nut and a separate complementary locking member. The element, the locking member and the flange have shape-locking interengaging projections and recesses. The device can be positionally inverted.

摘要: A unique railroad track assembly having reduced maintenance cost is secured by a tie assembly which reduces noise and wear. The assembly comprises in combination a base channel member having vertical sides which supports a rail cushioning element supporting the rail. The base channel distributes the stresses to all holding elements thus preventing their breaking or bending. A unique feature is the use of elongated holes in certain elements so as to permit the movement of the rail in a lateral manner to adjust the gage. Shims are positioned between the rail supporting cushioning element and the vertical sides of the channel element.

摘要: A rail fastener device for directly affixing rapid transit system rail apparatus to a rigid support structure. The device includes a rail plate and a baseplate which are separated by a layer of elastomeric material which is bonded to the adjacent sides of each plate. Means are provided for fastening the rail directly to the rail plate, and means are provided for fastening the baseplate directly to the support structure. The rail plate, however, is free to float on the elastomeric material with respect to said baseplate so as to provide vibrational damping as well as electrical isolation therebetween.
