摘要:
The invention concerns a process for installation of an expansion anchor device, which is used to secure a part to the surface of a structural support member. The anchor device comprises an expandable sleeve (1), mainly extending along a longitudinal axis (X-X) with a proximal end (2) and a distal end (3), which is designed to be placed within a hole formed in the structural member that is designed to have the anchor applied thereto. In the process, once the hole has been formed in the support member and said anchor device has been placed in the hole, a step of orienting the sleeve (1) is carried out, such that the expansion of the latter occurs along the highest-resistance direction of the structural support member. The invention also relates to an apparatus for carrying out the process, which comprises a cylindrical bushing (26) having an axial through hole (27), front coupling means (28) located at the end (29) of the bushing facing the sleeve (1) of the anchor device, said means (28) being adapted for engagement with front counter-coupling means (30) placed on the proximal end (2) of the sleeve (1) of the anchor device as well as a handle (31) connected to said bushing (26).

An anchor sleeve for a composite anchor is threaded in its inside surface and is anchored by at least one of an organic and inorganic mortar in a borehole formed in a concrete tie for rails or in a similar receiving material. The inside threaded sleeve (2) forms a load engagement means for an attachment member and is located in a trailing end region of the sleeve. The sleeve has two concentrically and consecutively arranged sealing elements (7, 9) at an opposite leading end of the sleeve and the sealing elements close off the leading end of the sleeve in a liquid-type manner. The sealing elements (7, 9) can be consecutively displaced out of sealing engagement at the leading end of the sleeve (2). In addition, a method for corrosion resistant anchorages employs the anchor sleeve.

A railroad crosstie plug is positioned within an existing spike hole in a crosstie to restore a predetermined gage between parallel railroad rails. The plug comprises a hollow sleeve having a slot along one side thereof and an interior configuration complimentary to the configuration of the spike. A member separate from the sleeve is pivotally mounted at one end to a lower edge of the slot. The member also defines an impact surface extending across a portion of the interior of the sleeve. When a spike is forced into the sleeve against the impact surface, a second end of the member pivots out of the sleeve and into the surrounding wood of the railroad tie there by locking the sleeve and spike in place within the hole.

An anchor member is formed of an axially extending core member enclosed from one end toward the other by an electrically non-conductive plastics material jacket. The anchor member can be secured in a borehole in a receiving material by a hardenable mass. The jacket at the one or leading end of the core member has a tip located on an extension of the core member axis, so that the tip abuts the center of the base of the borehole. With the centering action afforded by the tip, damage to the jacket is prevented as the anchor member is inserted into the borehole.

Typically, a tie plate assembly for supporting a rail on a tie includes a tie plate and a spike that is driven through the plate into the tie to secure the tie plate to the point. A sleeve is provided on the plate that is inserted into a tie to prevent the deflection of the spike with respect to the ties wheels of a train pass over the tie.

A pre-buried casing tube uses glass fiber reinforced resin as the raw material to enhance the operation strength of the pre-buried casing tube, extend the service life of the pre-buried casing tube, and reduce maintenance cost of the railway transport system. The pre-buried casing tube includes at least one casing tube body, each casing tube body including at least one retaining element, the retaining elements provided in intervals along one side of the casing tube, each casing tube body disposed adjacently so as to form a passage for a screw, each retaining element provided in the passage for the screw.

The invention relates to a railroad tie manufactured from plastic (2), wherein at least two steel bars (3) are embedded in the plastic and wherein the steel bars extend in longitudinal direction of the plastic railroad tie (1) and wherein specimens of the bars (3) situated in operative condition at different heights in the railroad tie are free from mutual connections other than by the plastic. The plastic (2) is Low Density Polyethylene.

A railroad cross tie having an inner core with at least one longitudinally extending metallic reinforcing member and an outer casing. The cross tie includes first and second end caps. The first end cap is disposed proximate a first end of the inner core and the second end cap is disposed proximate a second opposite end. One embodiment of the cross tie includes an expansion gap longitudinally disposed between the first and second end caps. Longitudinal dimensions of the expansion gap varies in response to differential thermal expansion between the inner core and the outer casing. In other embodiments, the end caps are mechanically interlocked with the inner core and the outer casing overlays a portion of the end caps. The disclosed structures securely and reliably attach the end caps to the cross tie. A method of manufacturing cross ties is also disclosed.

A method and a device for attaching a rail on a timber support. The device includes a helically threaded fastener adapted to be screwed into a helically threaded borehole in the support after a rectangular metal insert is positioned in a rectangular opening at the periphery of the borehole. The borehole is sufficiently large that the fastener only contacts the timber support via contact with the insert. The rectangular opening is longer than the insert so that there is radial play between the insert and one end of the insert. The other end of the insert is adapted to contact a sloped side of the thread of the fastener. As the fastener is screwed into the borehole, the sloped side of the fastener presses the insert parallel to and perpendicular to the screwing axis of the fastener. As a result, the insert elastically expands parallel to and perpendicular to the screwing axis. Because the expansion perpendicular to the screwing axis is less than the radial play, no radial forces act on the timber support. Rather the timber support is only compressed parallel to the screwing axis thereby preventing the timber support from splintering.
