    摘要: A rapid transit system with wheel in track design includes a guideway, a vehicle that includes a vehicle bogie or chassis that couples to the guideway, and one or more terminals and/or intermediate stations. The guideway may include a first guideway and a second guideway, with a switch guideway interposed thereinbetween that allows the vehicle to move from the first guideway to the second guideway or vice versa. The vehicle may be coupled to the guideway via the vehicle bogie. The bogie may have a first axle, a second axle, and a third axle. First and second sets of guidewheels propel the vehicle forward or backward. The first set of switch wheels and/or the second set of switch wheels may be engaged and interact with one or more first or second neutral rails or first and second switch rails to move the vehicle from guideway to guideway.

    摘要: A cross-over switch system for switching a monorail vehicle between two fixed guideway beams is provided. The cross-over switch system includes two articulated beams and a median beam. Each one of the two articulated beams, constructed of a chain of pivotably interconnected segments, and is pivotably connected to a different one of the two parallel fixed guideways. The median beam, which is pivotable in its center, is located at a median distance between the two parallel fixed guideway beams. When in a switching mode, the median beam is pivoted and each segment of each articulated beam is also pivoted so that each one of the articulated beam abuts an opposed end of the median beam.

The apparatus is designed to be traversed by a human in specific patterns in order to promote, foster, and facilitate the development of brain functions controlling balance, coordination, spatial awareness, and vestibular function thereby increasing learning capabilities. As a result of traversing the apparatus in specific patterns, the human brain will process alphabetic and numeric symbols more efficiently. This is especially important in the development of early childhood learners. The educational importance for the invention is based upon brain research findings that support the link of sensory motor development and increased learning capacity.

    摘要: A rotary switch for a people mover guideway having a predetermined path, guidebeam and electric rail configuration, routes a transit car having electric power signal collectors from one entry guideway path to either of two exit guideway paths or vice versa. The switch has an elongated structural frame provided with guidelines, electric rail and tire path structure on one side compatible with the guideway configuration to provide car routing to one of the two exit paths. The frame further has guidebeam, electric rail and tire path structure on another side compatible with the guideway configuration to provide car routing to the other of the two exit paths. The electric rail structure on each side of the frame includes power rails and signal rails disposed along the respective switch paths of travel for respectively contacting the electric collectors of the transit car. An electric connection arrangement for the switch includes first electric conductors for connecting the switch power rails to the guideway electric power rail circuit and second electric conductors for connecting the switch signal rails to the guideway signal rail circuit. The first and second conductors are bundled together in a cable which is provided with a nylon cover and which is supported within a bore through one of the shafts about which the switch is rotated. Rotational motion of the frame is thus permitted between the two positions while electric continuity is maintained from the guideway electric power and signal rail circuits, respectively, to the electric power and signal rails on the two sides of the switch frame through direct connection of electric cables.
