摘要: A crossing gate mechanism includes a swingable gate arm, a rotatable gate arm shaft fixed to the gate arm, and an electronic sensor assembly coupled to the gate arm shaft. Rotation of the gate arm shaft corresponds with swinging of the gate arm. The electronic sensor assembly senses an angular position of the gate arm shaft and transmits a position signal corresponding thereto. The electronic sensor assembly includes a driving element that is attached to the gate arm shaft to rotate therewith. the electronic sensor assembly also includes a driven element that is driven by the driving element such that rotation of the gate arm shaft causes the driven element to rotate. The electronic sensor assembly is configured to generate the position signal based on a position of the gate arm shaft.

摘要: A monorail switch for a monorail guideway comprises a moveable guide beam having lateral running surfaces and an actuating mechanism. The actuating mechanism, equipped with a counterweight, is operative to move the moveable guide beam from a tangent position, where the moveable guide beam is aligned with a tangent travelling direction, to a turnout position, where the moveable guide beam is aligned with a diverting direction. Potential energy stored in the counterweight is released and at least partially stored in the form of elastic potential energy in the lateral running surfaces when the moveable guide beam is moved from the tangent position to the turnout position. Similarly, the elastic potential energy stored in the lateral running surfaces is released and at least partially stored in the form of potential energy by the counterweight when the moveable guide beam is moved from the turnout position to the tangent position.

摘要: Disclosed is a railway signaling system for controlling a load. In accordance with the teachings of this invention, the system comprises a first autonomous controller and a second autonomous controller which is redundant with the first controller, each controller connectable to the load such that there is no single point of failure. The first and second controllers operable in either an on-line mode wherein both power outputs provide power to the load or an off-line mode wherein a single power output does not provide power to the load. On-line controllers monitor current therethrough. When both controllers are on-line, the current between the two controller is imbalanced up to a threshold limit, if the threshold limit is exceeded by one controller, that controller will go off line, and if the first controller is off-line and the second controller is on-line, the second controller monitors output voltages of the off-line controller to ascertain that the output voltages are zero.

摘要: A manual switch remote controller is adapted for use with a power switch machine to electrically and selectively move switch points of a track switch between a normal position and a reverse position from a remote location in the field. In one preferred embodiment, the manual switch remote controller includes a first switch for selectively connecting and disconnecting a first source of DC operating power from first and second input terminals to first and second output terminals which are coupled to respective first and second input operating terminals of a biased-neutral controller. A second switch is used for selectively connecting and disconnecting a second source of DC controlling power from third and fourth input terminals to third and fourth output terminals which are coupled to respective third and fourth input control terminals of the biased-neutral controller. Third and fourth switches are used for selectively connecting the first source of DC operating power from the first and second input terminal, when momentarily actuated, to the third and fourth output terminals with first and second polarities so as to cause the biased-neutral controller to energize either the reverse or normal field winding of the DC motor in order to electrically and selectively move the switch points between the normal and reverse positions.
