Abstract:
In thread cutting mechanism portions of a lower thread winding device, two groove portions of an inner threading groove portion and an outer threading groove portion are formed on a holder. In the inner threading groove portion, one end portion is opened to one of an intersecting direction intersecting with a radial direction of the holder at an outer peripheral portion of the holder and another end portion is located at an inner side of a small-diameter bobbin in the radial direction. The outer threading groove portion is located at an outer side of the inner threading groove portion in the radial direction of the holder. In the outer threading groove portion, one end portion is communicated with the inner threading groove portion and located at the outer side of a large-diameter bobbin in the radial direction and another end portion is located at the inner side of the large-diameter bobbin in the radial direction.
Abstract:
A sewing mechanism is provided with: a post bed and sewing needles, wherein an article to be sewn is interposed between the post bed and the sewing needles. When the post bed comes closer to the article to be sewn than that in the previous sewing by at least a predetermined distance, in other words, when a separation distance between the article to be sewn and the post bed becomes less than that in the previous sewing by at least a predetermined distance, a thread pulling mechanism pulls threads hooked in needle holes of the sewing needles in a direction away from the post bed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an under-thread supply device for a sewing machine, and more particularly, to an enhanced under-thread supply device for a sewing machine, in which the device of the present invention and a unit for mounting said device are just partially changed so as to increase the winding amount of the under-thread of conventional sewing machines in order to achieve improved efficiency of sewing and efficiently reduce the puckering of a work piece without causing changes in the basic structure of conventional sewing machines.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a portable device for winding thread around a bobbin from a spool of thread. The device includes a height adjustable thread holder configured to receive the spool of thread, a thread guide bar pivotable between a stored position and an operative position, and an adjustable tension feed device for applying tension to the thread during winding. The device also includes a spindle slot configured to receive one of a plurality of rotatable spindles that are interchangeable within the spindle slot so that different corresponding spindles can be used with the device. Also, a speed control knob for adjusting a speed at which the spindle rotates and thus at which thread is wound around the bobbin from the spool of thread, a fill knob for adjusting the amount of thread to be wound on the bobbin, and an automatic shut off mechanism are disclosed.
Abstract:
A sewing apparatus is disclosed in which a thread cassette holding a needle thread wound is used. The sewing apparatus includes a cassette mount to which the thread cassette is detachably attached, a carrier carrying the thread cassette between an attachment start position and an attachment finish position in the cassette mount and a control device for electrically controlling rotation of a motor that moves the carrier.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a control device to control a sewing machine which executes a sewing operation using a bobbin thread wound on a bobbin and a needle thread by the drive of the sewing machine motor. The control device includes a sewing restarting unit that restarts the sewing operation after stopping the sewing machine motor in response to a detection of bobbin thread scarcity by a bobbin thread remaining amount detection unit. A permitted sewing amount is preset for the sewing operation restarted after stopping the sewing machine motor and when an actual amount of sewing performed after the stop of the sewing machine motor reaches the permitted sewing amount, information is given by the control device.
Abstract:
A sewing machine with a needle thread cassette, wherein a cassette mount (3) is reduced in size. The cassette mount (3) including a thread take-up lever travel region is formed in the form of a vertical groove in the arm head of the sewing machine. A needle thread cassette (2) having a thread bobbin (62) vertically received therein is removably mounted on the cassette mount (3) vertically from above. With a thread take-up lever (25) stopped in a position corresponding to a needle top stop position, the needle thread cassette (2) is mounted on the cassette mount (3), whereby the thread is engaged with the thread guard of the thread take-up lever (25) and a thread tension regulator (9).
Abstract:
A magnetically detectable bobbin for a sewing machine. The apparatus includes a substantially non-metallic detectable bobbin core. The core includes a substantially non-metallic cylindrical body having a detectable dopant in the cylindrical body. In the preferred embodiment, the dopant is magnetite. The thread supply is wound about the bobbin core after a frictional outer surface is applied to the bobbin core to aid in windability of the thread supply.
Abstract:
An automatic dual bobbin mechanism is provided. A housing containing two unique bobbin casings and bobbins therein oriented side-by-side with the sewing needle and thread passing between the bobbin casing pair replaces the convention single bobbin configuration. The bobbin pair acts in a tag-team operation whereby one bobbin supplies thread to be stitched into a fabric while the second bobbin is simultaneously filled with thread from an external source. When the first bobbin is emptied, the bobbin pair is rotated 180.degree. inside the housing. The second bobbin, now full, supplies thread for continued stitching while the first bobbin is refilled with thread supplied by the external source. The specially designed bobbins and bobbin casings allow for automatic rethreading of the empty bobbin and cutting of the bobbin thread from external source, thus eliminating the need to manually remove the empty bobbin and assembly, replace with a full bobbin and rethread.
Abstract:
A bobbin thread removing device includes a bobbin rotatably supported on the bobbin thread removing device; pull-out apparatus for pulling out a thread wound on the bobbin; bobbin rotation detecting device for detecting the rotation of the bobbin from which the thread is being removed; and control device receiving a signal from the bobbin rotation detecting devices, for driving the pull-out apparatus to pull the thread out again when the control device detects that the bobbin is not turning in accordance with the signal from the bobbin rotation detecting devices.
