摘要： A woven tape or label having fiber molten parts generated on both side edges thereof is provided with a tape body and two lines of chain stitch, each line of the chain stitch having a large number of loops formed with one sewing thread, and thus each of the fiber molten parts is wrapped in the chain stitch of one sewing thread. The chain stitch prevents the fiber molten parts from projecting when the tape or label is bent and sewn on an article of clothing. If desired, the label can contain shrinkable yarns interwoven partially as weft yarns in portion thereof applicable as one or two bent places at sewing.

摘要： Apparatus for attaching tags to garments, gloves, handbags and the like includes an assembly for feeding tags from a stacked supply to a tag attaching station, an assembly for affixing the tag to the garment at the tag attaching station, and a control network for controlling and sequencing the tag feed and tag affixing operations. The tag feeding assembly includes a mechanism for gauging the width and thickness of a tag and for adjustably accommodating the same. The assembly also includes a pair of upright arms designed so that a tag having a prepunched hole can be placed with the hole over one of the arms. The other arm may be adjusted relative to the first arm and the positioned tag so that it touches the tag edge. The adjustment of the measuring arm automatically adapts the tag feed mechanism to precisely the required distance necessary to transport the tag from the stacked supply to the tag attaching station. The sequencing and control circuit includes a solid state microprocessor having a manual mode for feeding and attaching one tag at a time and an automatic mode for continuously cycling the assembly during operation.

摘要： An assembly for inserting attachment members through thick, bulky goods, the attachments being of the type including two end pieces connected by a thin, flexible filament. The assembly includes a fluid powered fastener inserting device, a receiver cylinder, an air cylinder, and mounting structure. A fastener dispensing needle held in a projectible member is lowered from the fastener inserting device while the receiver cylinder is raised by the air cylinder, compressing the workpiece therebetween. One end of an attachment member is inserted by the needle through the workpiece, and emerges in a cavity of the receiver cylinder, the cavity being configured to minimize stress on the attachment member during this process.

摘要： A sewing head employing twin needles for use with a material feed assembly at a sewing station, employing a linkage drive configuration enabling original rotary motion to be converted into linear rather than arcuate during formation of tacks. The same drive source is employed for both longitudinal and lateral motion, with a movable link added into the main feed link assembly. By means of a guide member, one portion of the main drive is confined to longitudinal motion only, while the other portion is free to go through the lateral motion separately. By employing an additional movable link and designing the main feed link as a two part link, while at the same time employing the same drive source for longitudinal and lateral motion, it is possible to achieve the necessary linear parallel motion. By the aforementioned arrangement, the drive link achieves linear motion and provides for a uniform tacking pattern for both needles.Spacing between tacks can be varied by horizontal adjustment of the needle-bobbin assemblies.

摘要： An embroidered emblem for securing to a first fabric is comprised of a fabric base having a front surface and a rear surface. The fabric base is made of the same or substantially the same material as the first fabric and has the same or substantially the same weave pattern and color as the first fabric. A design is embroidered into the fabric base, the design including a stitched border extending around the outer periphery of the front surface of the fabric base. The border is made utilizing a relatively small sized needle and a relatively thin, dull yarn which is the same or substantially the same color as the color of fabric base. In this manner, when the embroidered emblem is secured to the first fabric the border as well as the fabric base fades into the first fabric so as to be nearly invisible.
