A device for feeding fiber bands to a knitting machine, wherein the device includes a creel having at least one bobbin with at least one fiber band. Further, at least one feed drive driving at least one feeder roll, such that the fiber band is guided by the at least one feeder roll. Further still, a band storage including a motor driven control drive arranged to change the length of a variable length storage path for the at least one fiber band, wherein the band storage is arranged between the creel and the at least one feeder roll. A control device actuates the motor driven control drive and the at least one feed drive in a manner coordinated with one another.

This invention relates to a device for detecting the presence of an individual yarn in an advancing lap of parallel yarns, constituted by: detector disposed on one side and in the vicinity of this advancing lap, adapted to detect the presence of a yarn moved away from the lap by a blower means disposed on the other side of said lap; an arrangement, controlled by the detector, for stopping the advancing lap or for triggering off an alarm system, wherein: it is composed, in known manner, of a plurality of parallel comb teeth, between which the advancing yarns pass; and the blower is placed at the base of said teeth and directs the flow of air towards the tip of these teeth. The invention is more particularly applicable to warp knitting machines.

Method and apparatus for producing ultra-smooth knitted fabric using hairy yarn belong to a technical field of textile. Yarn is false-twisted in a rotary holding form, for rotating the yarn stem on an ironing face. Meanwhile, a directional hairiness stretching device directionally ejects a steam flow towards the yarn, for reversely and orderly pre-wrapping hairiness on the rotating stem of the yarn, which avoids the yarn imperfection occurrence as the hairiness randomly or vertically wrapping onto the yarn stem. A vortex hair-wrapping device is used, so as to reversely wrap all the rest hairiness on the stem of the yarn, wherein a wrapping direction is opposite to a yarn moving direction for increasing difficulty of pulling out the wrapped hairiness during weft knitting, and increasing hair-wrapping tightness and fastness. The ultra-smooth yarn treatment apparatus is reasonably constructed and easily operated, which facilitates wide application.

A method and apparatus for making a tufted knitted fabric having the tufts locked by the wales of the rib-knitted backing. The backing is knitted on the dial and cylinder of a knitting machine. A hot fluid jet aspirator means texturizes the tufting yarn while positioning it between the yarns of the backing as said backing yarns are held between the dial and cylinder needles.
