    摘要: An electroforming process for manufacturing microparts comprises forming a mold cavity having the configuration of the desired micropart in a resin plate, lining the interior of the mold cavity with an electrically conductive material, attaching a lead wire to the electrically conductive material, immersing the mold cavity in an electrolytic bath, supplying dc electric energy to the lead wire to electrodeposit a metal layer of substantially uniform thickness and which comprises the micropart within the mold cavity, removing the electroformed micropart from the mold cavity, and finally removing excess portions of the electrodeposited material to obtain a finished micropart. To ensure uniform thickness of the electrodeposited material, the ratio of the height of the side wall to the width of the bottom wall of the mold cavity is preferably maintained at a value less than 3:1.

    摘要: A printing screen useful in silk screen printing art is produced by electrodepositing a layer of nickel onto a copper base and then depositing an alloy of tin and lead over the nickel followed by pressing a stainless steel screen into the alloy layer at the melting temperature of the alloy so as to laminate the screen to the nickel layer. The copper base is then etched away leaving only the nickel supported screen. The particular pattern to be printed is originally formed in plating resist on the copper base so as to exclude nickel from the areas of the screen corresponding to the pattern.

    摘要: A repairable master negative and a process for producing a master negative suitable for the production of a number of perforated foils and for regenerating such a master negative when it is worn, comprising applying insulating material to one surface of a metallic base plate that is stable in a bath of an alkali at selected areas thereof which conform with the perforations in the foils to be produced, applying a coating of a metal which is erodable in a bath of an alkali which is built up on the metallic base plate after the insulating areas have been applied to it, and passivating the metallic coating. When the master negative is worn due to the production of a number of perforated foils, it is repaired by stripping off electrolytically in a bath of an alkali the metallic coating and a new metallic coating is electrodeposited on the metallic base plate without disturbing the insulated areas.
