Abstract:
The apparatus has a base mounted on castors and upon which a telescopic post is mounted. A winch is mounted on the top of the post. A roll of flexible material is mounted on a bed and is rotatable about the post, The winch raises and lowers the bed so that the height of the roll may be adjusted to that most convenient for wrapping. By means of the castors, the apparatus may be moved around the article as it is being wrapped. The apparatus is suitable for stretch-wrapping an article which is irregular in shape or is heavy and is unusually difficult to wrap.
Abstract:
A spooler is used for storing and distributing an elongate, flexible member. The spooler has a base and a rotary support rotatably and detachably mounted to the base. A plurality of load-bearing arms are detachably connected to and extend radially from the rotary support. At least one spool guide is included, each spool guide being slidably located and selectively mounted along one of the load-bearing arms. Each spool guide extends substantially vertically from one of the load-bearing arms.
Abstract:
A winding spindle for mounting a plurality of yarn winding tubes, and which is formed by an inner tube and an outer tube surrounding the inner tube. The inner tube connects to a drive shaft. Between the inner tube and the outer tube, a clamping device is arranged, which comprises a plurality of clamping elements which extend through openings of the outer tube for mounting the winding tubes. The outer tube extending on the circumference of the inner tube is stayed by a plurality of support members that are arranged in an axially spaced apart relationship between the inner tube and the outer tube. To this end, the support members produce a radially acting clamping force between the inner tube and the outer tube.
Abstract:
A winding device, comprising a ring-shaped holder disposed concentrically with a winding shaft, a ring-shaped slider fitted onto the outer peripheral surface of the holder, and a plurality of chips disposed at angular intervals on a tapered inclined surface formed on the outer peripheral surface of the slider, wherein a fluid pressure passes through a first flow path in the winding shaft, the slider is moved in the axial direction of the winding shaft by a first piston, each chip is moved in the radial direction of the winding shaft by the inclination surface of the slider and pressed against the inner peripheral surface of the winding core so as to hold the winding core, a second piston is pressed against the end face of the holder by a second flow path independent of the first flow path, and the torque of the winding shaft is transmitted to the holder, slider, chips, and winding core by the friction between the second piston and the holder so as to rotate the winding core.
Abstract:
A hose reeler includes a sprinkler head. The hose reeler includes an area and a mechanism to retract and store a hose when the hose is not in use. When the hose is connected to a water supply source, the hose reeler functions as a sprinkler head on the ground or a hand-held sprayer. Another type of a hose reeler includes a sprinkler head and wheels for facilitating the transportation of the hose.
Abstract:
A tape reel assembly (14). The tape reel assembly (14) includes three discrete components. The components include a top flange (40), bottom flange (50) and hub (60). Teeth (65) are operatively connected to the hub (65). The flanges (40, 50) are preferably made from metal.
Abstract:
A winding mechanism for winding a narrower web has a drive shaft with a torque transmitting member fixedly mounted thereon, and a holder rotatably mounted on the drive shaft with a spring disposed around an outer circumferential surface of the holder with cushioning members interposed therebetween. Stoppers are disposed respectively in three chambers defined in the holder. A groove is defined in an inner circumferential surface of a winding core around which the narrower web is wound, and the cushioning members are fitted in the groove. A pressing force of the spring is applied through the stoppers to the winding core which is mounted on the holder.
Abstract:
An expanding mandrel is useable for rotatably mounting a strip of material that is wound around a sleeve or core. The expanding mandrel includes an ejecting device that is useable to strip the sleeve or core from the mandrel. The ejecting device includes at least a first part, which is rotatable about an axis together with the sleeve or core, and a non-rotatably mounted second part. The first part can strip the sleeve or core from the mandrel by actuation of the second part. That second part is a piston which can be driven by a fluid under pressure.
Abstract:
A light weight, filament wound carbon fiber base tube, with external longitudinal rails of a dissimilar material housing gripping elements and wear strips, all affixed to the outside of the base tube. The wear strips are made from an ultra high molecular weight polymer. The gripping elements are pneumatically driven.
Abstract:
An adjusting device is mounted for rotation about a central axis and can be axially actuated. The adjusting device can be displaced or shifted between an inoperative position and at least one working position by an axially displaceable fluid-driven piston.
