摘要: A method and system for conveying material in a pneumatic material conveying system includes a material input point, a material conveying pipe connectable with a feed-in container, the system being configured to provide a pressure difference in the material conveying pipe that includes a partial-vacuum generator, and a separator device in which the transported material is separated from the transport air at an outlet end of the material conveying system. The material is conveyed in a first stage from the input point to a conveying pipe, into a container space of an intermediate container arranged between the input point and the separator device by a suction/pressure difference provided by the partial vacuum generator in a first time period, and the material conveyed into the container space of the intermediate container is conveyed by a suction/pressure difference provided by the partial-vacuum generator to the separator device.

摘要: The invention relates to a separator for separating a conveyed medium, preferably air, from a conveyed material (4). Said separator comprises a container (1) which has at least one feed line (3) for the conveyed medium/conveyed material mixture, at east one outlet for the conveyed material (4), and at least one outlet (8) for the conveyed medium. In order to avoid abrasion damage at high conveying speeds or to ensure that said abrasion damage occurs at most only to a small extent, while nevertheless ensuring that the conveying medium and conveying material are reliably separated, an impact wall (14), which adjoins a cover wall (15) at an angle thereto, is located in the housing (1) opposite and at a distance from the outlet end (10) of the feed line (3) in the inflow direction (13) of the conveyed medium/conveyed material mixture. Said impact wall covers the inflow path of the conveyed medium/conveyed material mixture, blocking it from the outlet (8) for the conveyed medium. The conveyed material (4) hits the impact wall (14), which causes the kinetic energy of the conveyed medium to dissipate. The speed of the conveyed medium reduces very quickly after exiting the feed line (13), meaning that it cannot entrain any conveyed material.

The material receiver may be positioned an elevated location relative to a source of the material and be capable of staging and metering the conveyance of material when moving material at the top of a structure, such as a refinery tower.

The system, may include a vacuum source; a dust collector connected to the vacuum source by a first vacuum hose; a cyclone operatively connected to the vacuum source through the dust collector, wherein the cyclone may be connected to the dust collector by a second vacuum hose; a drop-out hopper operatively attached to the cyclone by a valve, such as an air actuated valve, wherein the drop-out hopper includes a first feed hose; and one or more material storage containers operatively associated with the cyclone via a second feed hose. The method of loading material into a converter bed may include providing a system for loading the material in the converter bed; setting up the system; and loading the material into the converter bed.
