摘要： A container includes a hollow truncated body made of paper material. The container body is tapered off so that the bottom end opening of the body is larger in size than the top end opening thereof. The top end of the body has an edge portion which is widened outwardly to a predetermined degree. The cover is bonded to the inner face of the widened edge portion of the body. The cover is sealed to the upper edge of the body after some desired liquid or powder is put into the container body.

摘要： A shipping container of tubular form for shipping pipes and tubes of great length, being made of two blanks secured together. A first blank has five side-by-side panels each hinged to the adjacent panel(s) and a second blank of equal length has three side-by-side panels similarly hinged. The middle panels only are adhered together and in erected condition, each of the four walls of the container has the thickness of two panels. A method for making a shipping container includes producing multi-ply paperboard in indefinite lengths, cutting it into blanks of two different widths, cutting four V-notches in the wider blank and two V-notches in the narrower blank to produce a five panel and a three-panel blank, and then securing the middle panels together with the notches parallel and opening in the same direction.

摘要： A box structure comprising a pair of box sections that, when erected, can telescope one within the other. Each box section has a central wall, a pair of opposed side walls and a pair of opposed end walls. By the provision of appropriate fold lines, the side walls of one box section are folded outwardly and its end walls are folded inwardly, while the other box section has its side walls and end walls folded conversely. The box sections, when overlying one another, in unerected condition, form a relatively thin package for shipping and storage purposes. The box is strengthened by the fact that inwardly folded walls of one box section counteract the outwardly folded walls of the other box section, when the walls are erected and the box sections are telescoped.

摘要： A carton structure particularly intended for use with a lamp bulb is formed of a carton blank of cardboard or other material to be folded along bend lines articulating first, second, third and fourth side wall panels as well as top and bottom flaps. Openings are formed in one or more of the side wall panels to allow visual display of the article contained therein. Bottom holding flaps are contiguous with the side wall panels and are turned upwardly into the carton and terminate at a common level in the carton to provide support edges therein. A bottom panel is inserted into the carton and rests upon the support edges formed by the bottom holding flaps and is held in place thereby. The bottom wall panel has peripheral portions thereof turned downwardly and inserted between the respective wall and upturned bottom holding flap. The transverse dimension of each flap is slightly larger than the transverse dimension of the space within the folded carton so that the flaps are firmly held in position by frictional force and the carton will provide a protective cushion housing around the article contained therein.

摘要： A helically convoluted hose clamp has a central portion of rectangular cross-sectional outline, two intermediate portions of rectangular or V-shaped cross-sectional outline, and two radially outwardly extending end portions. The moments of resistance of the intermediate portions exceed the moment of resistance of the median portion, and the overall length of the clamp is in excess of 1.5 convolutions preferably between 2.5 and 2.6 convolutions. The inner diameter of the clamp is normally less than the outer diameter of the hose which is to be clamped on a pipe or the like. The length of the intermediate portions exceeds the length of the end portions, and each such intermediate portion can extend along an arc of approximately 360 degrees. Pronounced moments of resistance of the intermediate portions promote the clamping action and prevent the end portions from yielding and bending when they are acted upon to increase the inner diameter of the clamp.

摘要： A polygonal container having a container sides assembly and a separate container bottom assembly, which is adapted for interlocking engagement with the container sides assembly at a lower portion thereof thereby to form the container bottom. The container sides assembly is foldably formed from a unitary blank of relatively rigid but foldable material and has a plurality of generally rectangular side panels hingedly interconnected to form an enclosure defining the sides of the polygonal container. A plurality of lower edge flaps are hingedly connected to the lower edge of the rectangular side panels and are adapted for folding upwardly and inside the enclosure to interlockingly receive corresponding elements of the container bottom assembly. The container bottom assembly is also foldably formed from a unitary blank of relatively rigid but foldable material and has a plurality of generally triangular bottom panels equal in number to the side panels, a plurality of interconnecting webs each web being foldably disposed between a pair of adjacent triangular bottom panels and downwardly therefrom for disposing adjacent bottom panels in abutting relationship at two sides of the triangular bottom panels. The container bottom assembly further includes a plurality of ear members corresponding in number to the number of lower edge flaps on the container side assembly, each of which ear member is hingedly connected to the third side of a triangular bottom panel and downwardly extending therefrom for engagement with the flaps hingedly connected at the bottom portion of the container sides assembly.
