Abstract: A line for conveying and forming box-like bodies of different types includes at least one suction belt, closed in a loop and arranged at least in its initial portion, at least one strap, closed in a loop and provided with protruding teeth. The strap is parallel to the suction belt and is arranged at least in the end portion of the line and has the initial front juxtaposed with respect to the end portion of the suction belt. The line further includes at least one band closed in a loop and provided with protruding tabs, parallel to the at least one suction belt and to the at least one strap and is arranged along the entire line, and has a start area that is juxtaposed with respect to the at least one suction belt and an end area that is juxtaposed with respect to the at least one strap.

Abstract: A transportation method for the intermittent, forward moving transportation of flexible containers suspended in a packaging line, including the use of movable arms on a same plane, between which a container is secured in opposite areas, one of which is a tractor arm and the other a push arm. Between two consecutive stops, the method includes steps of simultaneously moving the tractor arm and push arm forwards at different velocities, in order to deform the container and move the contents to compensate for the forces of inertia. Also disclosed is a device for putting the method into practice, including a number of guides that determine a closed route, upon which at least a first and second adjacent carrying element slide, which may be operated independently or together, in order to be moved along the length of the guides and work together to jointly secure and transport a corresponding container.

Abstract: A horn and an anvil are moved toward and away from each other by axially reciprocating a driving rod and thereby reciprocatingly rotating a forked lever in a predetermined angle range. The horn and the anvil are moved toward and pressed against each other with a predetermined force with a bag mouth b held therebetween. A sensor detects the position of a second mounting block secured to the rear end of a sliding shaft of the anvil, thereby detecting the distance between respective pressing surfaces of the horn and the anvil, i.e. the thickness m of a portion of the bag mouth held between the pressing surfaces. When the thickness m is not less than a predetermined threshold value M, a vibrator is activated to perform sealing. When the thickness m is less than the threshold value M, no sealing is performed.

Abstract: A packaging machine includes a shaping device including a conveyor drive mechanism and a bottom tapping mechanism and shaping a packaging bag filled with article so that the bag has a predetermined thickness. The conveyor drive mechanism includes a pair of side conveyors movable forward and backward. The conveyors are capable of pressing the bag filled with the article when moved forward. The conveyors are configured to be run in parallel to the moving direction of the bag substantially in synchronization with movement of the bag. The tapping mechanism includes a receiving plate disposed over the filling step and one or more steps following the filling step. The receiving plate is moved up and down so that the bag bottom is tapped, when the bag filled with the article is stopped between the filling step and one or more steps following the filling step.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for bagging a cylindrical object in one bag in a plurality of bags. The apparatus includes a finger assembly with fingers that are placed into a partially opened open end of the bag that is to receive the cylindrical object. After insertion into the open end of the bag, the fingers are separated uniformly in all directions and moved away from the rest of the bags, providing an appropriately shaped opening for the object to pass into the bag. The object passes through the expanded plurality of fingers into the opened open end of the bag. After the bag has been filled, a gripper finger grasps one edge of the bag and the finger assembly moves upwardly away from the bag as the bag is pulled onto a conveyor, where the bag is closed in a bag closure machine.

Abstract: A solid material packing method and apparatus are disclosed wherein the plastic film bags are transported from a storage location to a packing location by a pivotable taking member having adhesive surfaces at its free end. The taking member includes an elongate adhesive tape which can be advanced between the transporting of successive bags to renew the adhesive surfaces. A solid material supplying device comprises a pair of conduit-shaped members which are movable toward and away from one another, the conduit-shaped members moving away from one another as they move toward the bag at said packing location to thereby hold open the bag for insertion of a solid material.
