摘要： A lift apparatus for a snowmobile and a kit for constructing same. The lift apparatus includes a rear bumper and first and second slides attachable to a tunnel of the snowmobile. The rear bumper includes a transverse bumper portion connected to first and second slide members. The first and second slide members are slidable along the first and second slides, respectively, to position the transverse bumper portion in a riding position or a deployed position. The transverse bumper portion is positioned farther from the snowmobile when the transverse bumper portion is in the deployed position than when it is in the riding position. The transverse bumper portion is configured to be gripped and lifted by a user when the transverse bumper portion is in the deployed position. The rear bumper is configured to lift a rear portion of the snowmobile when the transverse bumper portion is lifted.

摘要： Snowmobile skis include at least one elongated wing member projecting laterally outward and upward from a lateral side of a base portion of the ski. The at least one elongated wing member has a lower surface that extends vertically over and laterally outward from a lower running surface of the ski. At least a longitudinal section of the lower surface of the at least one elongated wing member may include a portion having a curved, concave shape. The lower surface of the at least one elongated wing member may extend a greater distance vertically over the lower running surface of the ski near a longitudinal midportion of the ski relative to a distance by which the lower surface of the at least one elongated wing member extends vertically over the lower running surface of the ski near a longitudinal front portion of the ski and near a longitudinal rear portion of the ski.

摘要： A novel mountain snowmobile comprises a frame, an engine disposed on the frame, at least one ski disposed on the frame, a seat disposed on the frame, a steering device disposed on the frame forward of the seat that is operatively connected to the at least one ski for steering the snowmobile, and a novel long length drive track disposed below the frame and connected operatively to the engine for propulsion of the snowmobile. The novel drive track comprises an endless body having a ground-engaging outer surface with a central portion flanked by first and second lateral portions, a plurality of longitudinally spaced reinforcing rods disposed in the body along a transverse direction of the body. The rods define a plurality of pitches, and a plurality of profiles project from the outer surface of the body along the plurality of pitches. A plurality of non-profile regions is defined along the plurality of pitches, and the profiles and profile-free regions define a pattern for each pitch. The pitch pattern for the novel track has a six pitch tread pattern which repeats every successive sixsomes of pitches. A height profile that varies between the first and second lateral portions is defined by the profiles. Such height profile has each profile with a height of not less than about 1¼ inches. The long length track has a length greater than about 141 inches.

摘要： A slide rail assembly adapted for engaging a drive track of a snowmobile. The slide rail assembly comprises a rail adapted for engagement with a rear suspension system of the snowmobile, and aligned forward and rear slide portions disposed on a lower surface of the rail adjacent the drive track. The forward and rear slide portions are respectively located on forward and rear portions of the rail. The rear slide portion comprises a first material and the forward slide portion comprises a second material, the second material having a hardness which is less than that of the first material. Noise and vibrations resulting from contact between the drive track and the forward slide portion are attenuated by the second material.

摘要： A tracked cycle including a frame assembly defining a front end and a rear end is provided for receiving a drive assembly mounted to the frame assembly. The drive assembly includes a drive gear assembly mounted to the frame assembly, a first idler wheel mounted to the rear end of the frame assembly distant from the drive assembly, and a second idler wheel intermediate the drive gear assembly and the first idler wheel and pivotally interconnected to the frame assembly to a shock absorber assembly depending from the frame assembly. A continuous track is provided extending around the drive gear assembly and the first and second idler wheels to generally define a triangle such that one side of the triangle defined by the continuous track extending between the first and second idler wheels is in contact with the ground, and a second side of the triangle defined by a portion of the continuous track extending between the drive gear assembly and the second idler wheel is inclined toward the front end of the frame assembly. The tracked cycle also includes a steering post extending to a tube attached to the front end of the frame assembly, a handle bar assembly attached to the upper end of the steering post, and a ski assembly attached to the lower end of the steering post such that movement of the handle bar assembly moves the ski assembly about a longitudinal axis of the steering post. The tracked cycle is also provided with a manual drive system attached to the drive gear assembly. In the alternative, the manual drive may be replaced with an internal combustion engine coupled to the drive gear assembly in a conventional manner.

摘要： The snow bicycle comprises a main frame similar to the one used on a conventional bicycle. It features a rear drive wheel assembly removably connected to the main frame. The rear drive wheel assembly comprises two longitudinally-oriented wheels operatively connected between a two-section frame. A track belt is winded around the two wheels and two parallel sets of rollers are provided on each side of the lower inner side of the free track belt to support the rear of the main frame when the bicycle is on the ground. This provides a versatile arrangement that suitably combines stability and the ability of to reach high speed on various types of grounds, particularly snow or ice.
