Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method of applying a protective coating to a haul truck tray. The method includes (i) installing a mould on at least a portion of the haul truck tray, (ii) placing the at least a portion of the haul truck tray into a jig framework, (iii) heating at least a portion of the haul truck tray placed on the jig framework, (iv) providing a source of fluid protective coating at an elevated point on the at least a portion of the haul truck tray placed on the jig framework, (v) coating at least a portion of the haul truck tray surface with a substantially uniform layer of fluid protective coating, and (vi) allowing the substantially uniform layer of fluid protective coating to cure.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include a pull and push two steps load floor system. An exemplary pull and push two steps load floor system can include a first two-track transition support feature including a first track having an open end and a second track having an open end and a second two-track transition support feature including a third track having an open end and a fourth track having an open end. The load floor system can further include a load floor having a hinge and four pins positioned such that the load floor can be coupled to the first two-track transition support feature and to the second two-track transition support feature by placing the four pins into respective tracks of the first two-track transition support feature and the second two-track transition support feature through the respective open ends.

Abstract: A vehicle cargo bed system includes a floor assembly that transitions back-and-forth between a standard floor position and an extended floor position. The floor assembly includes floor sections each having a cargo support surface. The floor sections are folded when the floor assembly is in the standard floor position. The floor sections are unfolded when the floor assembly is in the extended floor position. The assembly further includes first and second side wall assemblies of the cargo bed that transition back-and-forth between a standard wall position and an extended wall position. The first and second side wall assemblies each include an extendable portion and a fixed portion. The extendable portions extend and retract relative to the respective fixed portions when the first and second side wall assemblies transition back-and-forth between the standard wall position and the extended wall position.

Abstract: A backboard assembly for a vehicular rear seat is disclosed. The backboard assembly includes an upper part and a lower part, which are made of a hard plastic material. The backboard assembly prevents the formation of a gap between the lower part and a luggage board, regardless of the operational mode of the rear seat. When a seat back is folded, the upper part, the lower part, and the luggage board are aligned in a horizontal direction, thereby allowing the space for passengers in the rear seat to be completely integrated with a luggage compartment.

Abstract: A truck bed liner is integrally molded of a thermoplastic material. Arrays of spaced-apart, endless cushioning elements downwardly depend from the bottom surface of the liner body. Notches are made in the bottom margins of the cushioning elements to permit fluid ingress to and egress from the cushioning element interiors. In one embodiment, the depth of the elements is uniform, and the top surface of the bed liner emulates the rib pattern of the truck bed. In another embodiment, the depth of the elements varies, such that a rib pattern on the top surface of the liner body can be different from the truck bed rib pattern.

Abstract: Vehicle tailgate assembly that includes a sill flap and tailgate, where the sill flap has rollers that contact the tailgate while the sill flap and tailgate are opened or closed. The sill flap thus maintains rolling contact with the tailgate during opening and closing operations. In embodiments of the disclosure, the tailgate opens to leave a gap between the edge of the vehicle bed and the edge of the tailgate, and the sill flap is pivoted into this gap. While being pivoted into this open position, the sill flap rollers rotatably contact the tailgate, so that the sill flap maintains rolling contact with the tailgate rather than frictional contact therewith. This prevents damage to the sill flap and tailgate when opened and closed.
