Abstract:
An expandable cassette for use with device to support a sheet that is fed into from a communication machinery. The expandable tray may include a first tray and a second tray mounted on the first sheet support so that the second tray can be rotated around a shaft that is attached to tray in the direction that paper is discharged from the image forming device. A third tray may be slidably mounted on the second tray in such a manner that the third tray is moveable back and forth along direction that paper is discharged from the image forming apparatus.
Abstract:
A sheet resist apparatus disposed in a transporting path of a recording sheet transported from a sheet supplying unit to an image forming unit in an image forming apparatus, includes: a pair of first rollers disposed in the transporting path; a pair of second rollers disposed in the transporting path at a downstream of the first rollers; a first driving device for rotating the first rollers to transport the recording sheet toward the second rollers; and a second driving device for rotating the second rollers to transport the recording sheet, which is transported from the first rollers, toward the image forming unit in synchronization with a timing of image-formation of the image forming unit. The sheet resist apparatus further includes: a sensor disposed between the first rollers and the second rollers for detecting a tip of the recording sheet transported from the first rollers; and a control device for controlling the first and second driving devices on a basis of a result of detection of the sensor, such that the first driving device stops driving once before the tip of the recording sheet reaches the second rollers, and such that the first driving device resumes driving earlier than the second driving device starts driving by a predetermined time period.
Abstract:
A transfer-printing process and apparatus for transfer-printing from a master card onto a work piece. The process starts by manual insertion of the master card into a gap provided between press rollers. By the insertion of the master card, the work piece is fed into a work piece path and the surface thereof is wetted during its movement along the path. The work piece thus fed and the master card sustained between the gap are registered with each other as desired and pressed for transfer-printing by the rotation of the press rollers. The work piece and the master card are then delivered to the insertion inlet of the master card.
Abstract:
A variable-diameter printing press cylinder is provided. The variable-diameter printing press cylinder includes a cylinder body, a first shell segment having a first circumferential end portion and a second shell segment having a second circumferential end portion. The first and second shell segments are mounted on the cylinder body via the first and second circumferential end portions. A method of varying a circumference of a cylinder in a printing press and a printing press are also provided.
Abstract:
The proposed apparatus is designed for being capable of recovering even when the overlapped transport of insert sheets has occurred without stopping the apparatus, thereby providing an improved utility to the users. The apparatus includes a first sheet feeder for sequentially separating blank sheets into individual sheet, an image forming device for forming images on the blank sheets, a transport device for waiting the blank sheet to be supplied to the image forming apparatus at predetermined time, a second sheet feeder for sequentially separating the insert sheets into individual sheet, an overlapped transport detecting device for determining whether or not the insert sheets have been transported in overlapped condition, and a controller for discharging all the insert sheets of a set involved in the overlapped transport onto a predetermined place, finding the first insert sheet of a next set of insert sheets, and discontinuing the drive of the transport device.
