Abstract:
A photo film cassette has a spool core on which photo film (14) wound in a form of a roll. A disk (19, 20) has an axial hole (19a, 20a) formed therein, and is secured to each of ends of the spool core, for regulating ends of the roll of the photo film in the cassette. A sheet (74) of thermoplastic synthetic resin is supplied one after another. There are plural disk-like portions (65) and a positioning portion (66) formed on the sheet. A positioning pin (112) is fitted on the positioning portion of the sheet being supplied, for positioning the sheet. An upper blade group (106) includes 12 upper blades (110, 111). An lower blade group (107) includes 12 lower blades (114, 115). The upper and lower blade groups squeeze 12 of the disk-like portions while the sheet is positioned by the positioning device, for punching the axial hole and a contour of the disk, to obtain 12 disks. A vacuum pump (152) is caused by a valve (156) to suck the 12 disks on the upper blade group, to remove the 12 disks from the sheet. The vacuum pump is caused by a valve (158) to suck dust punched from the axial hole in the 12 disks through the lower blade group, to eject the punched dust. Stacker pins (103) stack the 12 disks from the upper blade group. A sheet remover (88) exits the sheet after punching plural disks.
Abstract:
Multi-layered enclosures are provided which include extruded tubing laminated between two extruded sheets of coextruded film in order to rapidly produce an unusually tough enclosure having longitudinal side walls that are free of internal seams while providing superior fluid barrier properties. When desired, the multi-layered enclosure is transformed into a multi-layered bag or pouch by sealing the multi-layered enclosure together along one or more locations interconnecting the longitudinal or side edges of the multi-layered enclosure to thereby cross seal together the sheets, the tubing, and the internal surfaces of the tubing.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are disclosed for imparting a desired shape to a paperboard blank. The blank is formed between two dies for a sufficient length of time and with sufficient force to set the form, while moving the dies in tandem along a predetermined portion of a reciprocation path. Because the formed blank remains in dwell while the dies are moving in tandem, it is not necessary to hold the dies stationary to ensure permanent formation of the blank. This allows greater production speeds.
Abstract:
A foot pattern device including: a cavity having a base and a wall portion; a foot form in the cavity on the base; a frame releasably securable to the base for gripping a deformable sheet between the lower edge of the frame and the upper part of the wall portion; means for heating the deformable sheet; and clamp means for holding the frame tightly to the wall portion with the deformable sheet between them as the foot is pressed on the warm deformable sheet into the foot form.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are disclosed for forming a multi-compartmented tray from a sheet material without tearing or bowing. At least a portion of one compartment, and preferably the entire compartment, is formed in advance of other compartments. The apparatus for doing so comprises a preformer on the male die for forming the first compartment before the rest of the male die engages the workpiece.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a machine for automatically banding particularly linear objects in groups with strap-type banding elements having interlockable male and female members at one and the other ends thereof respectively, which comprises a pistol-shaped machine body and an operation lever provided to a grip handle thereof and with which, when the operation lever is triggered, each banding element loaded on the machine body is fed forwardly in the machine body, applied about a group of objects to be banded and received on a front end portion of the machine body and then fastened with its male and female members interlocked to accomplish banding, the machine being characterized by comprising a pusher member driven through triggering of the operation lever to move in a guide path in the machine body from a rear end portion to a front end portion of the machine body while pushing a banding element, a stopper for fixing an end portion of the banding element at a front end portion in the guide groove during a banding operation, and a pusher lever pivotally supported at a front end portion of the pusher member and having a bending face along its front edge which is adapted to bring to be interlocked the male and the female members of the banding element after the movement of the element is stopped by the stopper.
Abstract:
For providing a molded body in the form of a predetermined pattern projecting from a surface of a substrate, such as, a flexible metal sheet, the substrate surface is first coated with a thermoplastic film and then applied against a mold plate which has a cavity in the form of the predetermined pattern opening toward the thermoplastic film, whereupon, a resin, such as, polyethylene, is injected into the cavity to form on the substrate an injection molded body having the predetermined pattern and which is bonded to the substrate through the thermoplastic film in consequence of the heat and pressure incidental to the injection molding process.
Abstract:
Apparatus for accepting preheated or ambient containers in single file to an eighteen-head handling turret that will carry the containers through a generally circular path by their necks. The containers are transported through 320.degree. of the circle described by the chuck-carrying turret. The other 40.degree. of the circle is the zone where the chucks are open and the containers that are labeled move away from the turret and heated containers are entering. The chucks are rotated about their axes by a chain-driven mechanism, and while rotated, pass between spaced ovens to shrink theremoplastic sleeves about the containers.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a machine for making labels of textile material sealable by ultrasonic means and having a delivery section that operates in cycles, and a folding and ironing device for gripping, folding, and ironing the labels which are delivered one behind the other. In order to substantially improve the handling of the labels as they are being sewn in, there is provided after the folding device an ultrasonic sealing device for affixing to the backs of the labels creased folds thereof by means of a fused joint. The invention further relates to a label from textile material for tape sealable by ultrasonic means and having at least one fold creased onto the back thereof, the creased fold being connected to the label across an ultrasonically fused joint, as well as a label with or without a creased fold, the ultrasonically fused joint being formed as a detach-by-ripping fused joint extending across the entire width of the label.
Abstract:
In a method of manufacturing a contact rubber structure, colored, hard, non-vulcanized rubber materials are injected into cavities of a mold for molding key top portions. A mold for molding key sheet portions is placed over the key top portions formed by the foregoing molding step. A non-vulcanized rubber material which is softer than the material of each key top portion is charged, compressed and heated, so that the key sheet portions are made to be integral with the key top portions.
