A method performs evaluation of properties of a clay rod, with which a honeycomb structural body is produced. The method mixes raw materials to produce a clay, and extrudes the clay and compresses the extruded clay to produce a clay rod. The method performs NMR to detect at least one of a T1 relaxation time and a T2 relaxation time in each of a normal part and an abnormality part extracted from the clay rod. Each of the T1 relaxation time and the T2 relaxation time corresponds to a relaxation time of nuclear spins of water protons magnetically excited in each of the normal part and the abnormality part. The method performs the evaluation of uniformity of a mixed state and a compression state of the clay rod based on a difference in T1 relaxation time and T2 relaxation time between the normal part and the abnormality part.

A counter-rotating twin screw extruder includes a motor that generates power through speed reduction of a gear box to directly or indirectly drive two symmetric screw shafts inside an enclosure barrel for synchronous but opposite rotations. Each screw shaft is fit with at least one section of screw and the two screws forms screw flight that are set in opposite directions and alternating each other. The barrel contains therein at least one flow restriction die. A bearing box is set between the barrel and the gear box. The purpose is to reduce unnecessarily induced mechanical energy during the conveyance of material and the advantages of using an independent bearing box are that manufacturing costs are reduced and consumption of energy is cut down. Parts wearing is reduced and durability is enhanced to eventually realize carbon reduction and energy saving.

The present invention provides an apparatus for processing a rubber. The apparatus is equipped with an enclosed kneading chamber; a charging port for charging a material into the kneading chamber; a stirring rotor for stirring the material in the kneading chamber; a control section for automatically controlling the rotational speed of the stirring rotor; and a temperature sensor for detecting an interior temperature of the kneading chamber and outputting the detected information regarding the interior temperature to the control section. The control section automatically controls the rotational speed by a PID control configured to attempt to match the actual temperature with the target temperature until expiration of a control time being set in a state where the material containing a rubber component exists in the kneading chamber, based on the information regarding the actual temperature and information regarding a target temperature being set.

Apparatus for mixing metered quantities of cement with metered quantities of water has a horizontal housing with a first section having an inlet for admission of cement, a cylindrical intermediate section which receives cement from the first section, and a mixing chamber which receives cement from the intermediate section and further receives metered quantities of water by way of a pipe. A feed screw is rotatably mounted in the first and intermediate sections to convey cement toward and into the mixing chamber. The thread of the feed screw carries radially outwardly extending paddles which are located in the first section and prevent accumulations of cement in the space around the corresponding portion of the feed screw. The mixing chamber is connected to the intermediate section by a hinge and contains a rotary mixing element whose shaft is separably coupled to the core of the feed screw. The mixing element can be withdrawn from the mixing chamber upon lifting of a cover which partially overlies the outlet opening of the mixing chamber, whereupon the mixing chamber is pivotable to a position for convenient cleaning of its interior.
