A method of making a sheave system, the method comprising: determining an outer diameter of a sheave body; determining a rope size; selecting a sheave body; determining an outer diameter of a shaft; determining a bearing type; selecting a bearing; selecting a sheave sleeve; attaching the sheave sleeve to the sheave body; and attaching the bearing to the sheave sleeve.

Between the previous small step and the post small step, a radius of curvature of the annular bottom surface of the forming surface of the first forming roller is greater than that of the annular bottom surface of the forming surface of the first forming roller employed in the previous small step, and an opening angle between a pair of annular forming surfaces of the forming surface of the first forming roller employed in the post steps is smaller than that between the pair of annular forming surfaces of the forming surface of the first forming roller employed in the previous small step.

    摘要: A pulley comprising a circumferential groove which has a non-flat groove surface for increased friction against a belt to be received and a manufacturing method therefor. According to the method a pulley material is forged into a basic pulley configuration which is the shape of the material ready for forming the circumferential groove. The basic configuration comprises a plurality of axial grooves which extend in a generally axial direction over a surface of the pulley in which the circumferential groove is to be formed. The the circumferential groove is rolling-formed in the pulley material. Thus, a non-flat groove surface for a higher friction is provided. Alternatively, the higher friction groove surface may be formed by roughening a sand blasting, shot blasting or chemical surface treatment.

    摘要: A clutch pulley assembly primarily designed for use with electromagnetic clutches for driving air conditioning compressors on automobiles and the like wherein the component parts of the clutch pulley assembly are fabricated from stampings with a reduction in the amount of machinery required to complete the device. The method of making and assembling the structure is part of the invention and includes the press forming of a web disc for supporting pulley grooves from sheet steel having desirable magnetic properties to produce an annular flange portion thereon at the outer edge thereof and extending substantially perpendicular thereto, then punching a central hub receiving aperture in the disc and then mounting the central aperture of said disc on a central hub made from a tube section. A die forming method of manufacturing a pulley groove is also disclosed. A section of steel tubing is cut to length, this section is press formed by axially moving dies, and then the pulley groove is completed by both axially and radially moving forming dies of multi-segment type. The pulley groove thus formed is then pressed upon the machined outer flange surface of the web disc in which magnetic flux blocking slots have also been punched.

    摘要: The invention relates to methods of making or manufacturing peripherally grooved sheet metal articles such as grooved wheels, V-type pulleys, automobile wheel rims, etc. Several embodiments of both the method of manufacture and pulley or wheel construction are disclosed. Basically, all of the embodiments have in common the use of the pair of sheet metal discs as the starting blanks for manufacturing a single peripherally grooved article. The discs are progressively formed into a final pulley in three stages. In the first stage, the metal discs are formed into nesting blanks forming an intermediate pre-clinched blank assembly shaped to facilitate the second step which involves acting upon the first assembly in a die to form an intermediate clinched blank assembly in which the discs are held together by an annular clinched portion. In the third step, the clinched blank assembly is acted upon to spread apart the outer rim sections to form a peripherally grooved sheet metal article. A multi-pulley or wheel construction is disclosed in which a plurality of the single pulleys or grooved sheet metal articles are clinched together to form a multi-pulley or wheel construction having several V-grooves. One preferred form of the clinched portion comprises mutually intertwining generally Sshaped, in cross-section, sections of each disc, end portions of the S-shaped sections being folded back upon the S-shape.
