    摘要: A case washer for use in a dairy processing machine has an enclosure through which the cases are conveyed, a plurality of nozzles that spray a fluid into the enclosure to thereby remove debris from the cases as the cases are conveyed through the enclosure, and a funnel that receives the fluid and the debris from the enclosure. A sidehill screen assembly receives the fluid and the debris from the funnel. The sidehill screen assembly has a screen along which the fluid and the debris are conveyed such that the fluid percolates through the screen and the debris is collected on the screen and the debris falls off the screen under force of gravity.

    摘要: A method of cleaning can bodies having a continuous sidewall closed at one end by an integral bottom portion opposite an open end is described. A can body transporter is populated a plurality of can bodies. The transporter transfers can bodies through a can body washer apparatus from an entry end to a delivery end. A plurality of spray bars are located between the entry end and the delivery end and delivers a washing solution to the plurality of can bodies. A substantially constant can body population density is maintained on the can body transporter by controlling a speed of the can body transporter relative to a rate of production of can bodies produced by an upstream can body making apparatus. A time duration of an exposure of the plurality of can bodies to the solution is controlled by regulating delivery of the solution.

    摘要: An apparatus and associated methods are disclosed for washing a plurality of beverage containers. The apparatus may include an enclosure, a holder positioned in the enclosure, a receptacle for a beverage container in the holder, and an injector coupled to the enclosure. The holder may rotate in the enclosure about an axis of rotation. As the holder rotates, the receptacle may move (e.g., rotate) through a plurality of positions about the axis of rotation. The receptacle may be positioned to receive a beverage container in a first position about the axis of rotation. When rotated to a second position about the axis of rotation, the receptacle may be aligned with the injector and the injector may provide a fluid inside the beverage container in the receptacle. The receptacle may be positioned to drain the fluid from the beverage container in the receptacle in the second position or after being rotated to a third position.

    摘要: Inverted DI cans are fed by a conveyer having partitions in a plurality of rows such that they are spaced apart in each row, and treatment liquid is sprayed against the travelling cans from above and below the center of each row. The liquid is sprayed from above in a uniform and a full-cone pattern greater in area than the top surface of the can and from below also in a full-cone pattern or in a fan-shaped pattern narrow in the widthwise direction of the conveyer and greater in length than the can open end diameter. The liquid is further sprayed against the travelling cans from side nozzles on the opposite sides of and symmetric with respect to the center of each row. The side walls of the cans are thus washed without contact of adjacent cans in the direction of travel of the cans. The washing force is increased in the space between adjacent cans in the direction of travel to prevent washing irregularities and thus permit uniform surface treatment of the inner and outer surfaces of the cans.

    摘要: Clamping conveyor for transporting containers of various sizes and to invert the containers during transportation. The containers are conveyed on a movable flexible endless support member to which are fixed a series of spaced clamping assemblies each of which comprises an open ended housing secured transversely to the support member, an L-shaped container gripping member having a base arm slidably extending into and being guided by the housing and having a clamping arm upstanding from the plane of the support member on one of its sides and a spring assembly which acts on the L-shaped gripping member to bias the clamping arm toward the support member. The successive clamping arms of these L-shaped members are disposed on opposite sides of the support member and interconnected by a pair of endless belts each located on one side of the support member and secured to the clamping arms. The support member is mounted on a stationary track allowing it to pivot axially by substantially 180.degree. so that the containers being conveyed can move from upright to fully inverted position and vice versa.
