A field flow fractionation device 11 is provided with: a channel 26 that is attached to the inner circumferential surface 53a of the peripheral portion 53 of a rotor 51 and where a classification flow path 38 is created; flow paths 31, 33, 41, 42, 34, 32 for feeding a sample liquid into and out from the classification flow path 38; and a rotational drive mechanism 28 for rotating the rotational axis 24, wherein a channel installation portion 55 is formed on one side of the peripheral portion 53, and a mass balancer portion 56 for adjusting the mass distribution of the rotor 51 is formed on the other side with the rotor base in between.

    摘要: A centrifuge rotor assembly includes a chamber assembly, a bearing support, and a counterweight that is substantially diametrically opposed to the bearing support with respect to the chamber assembly. The chamber assembly receives a processing chamber of a fluid circuit, while the bearing support receives a portion of an umbilicus that is fluidly connected to the processing chamber. The bearing support and counterweight are rotated about a central axis of the chamber assembly by an electric drive of the centrifuge rotor assembly, with the bearing support and counterweight remaining substantially diametrically opposed to each other with respect to the chamber assembly while being rotated about the central axis. The electric drive may rotate the bearing support and counterweight at a plurality of different speeds, with the counterweight automatically moving with respect to the bearing support between radially innermost and radially outermost positions to balance the centrifuge rotor assembly.

    摘要: A method, system, and apparatus for aligning the index angle of a polar coordinate system device, such as the rotor of a centrifuge, with the vertical axis of a Cartesian coordinate system device, such as a robotic end-effector. The apparatus includes a first registration device, that is removably attached to the gripping means of the end-effector and a second registration device, that is removably insertable into a pivoting platform, such as a bucket to a centrifuge rotor. As the first registration device is lowered into the second registration device, the fixed orientation of the notches of the second registration device and the rigid nature of the first registration device cause a linear ball slide to displace and the bucket to rotate until the primary axis of the linear ball slide is in compliance with the cross pin axis of the first registration device.

    摘要: A separator includes a centrifugal drum having a vertical axis of rotation and a feed line for material to be centrifuged. A drive spindle for the centrifugal drum is rotatably mounted on a housing via a bearing, the housing being supported elastically on a machine frame. A drive device includes a motor housing and an electric motor having a stator and an armature which is aligned with the drive spindle. The drive device and the motor housing move with the drive spindle as co-vibrating units during an operation of the separator. The drive device is connected to the machine frame below the bearing at a lower axial end of the bearing via one or more joint elements.
