Abstract:
A liquid filter including a valve arranged in a supporting tube of a filter insert, in which the valve is fixed by a disk (60) which is oversized relative to a mounting opening (61), so that reliable sealing to the edges of the disk is facilitated. Use of the disk (60) simplifies the mounting of the valve.
Abstract:
Oil filter for engines, transmissions or automatic transmissions, said oil filter being integrated in an oil pan, at least one bypass valve being arranged on the oil filter, the bypass valve containing a spring whose spring resistance increases with increasing temperature, said spring opening and closing an opening of the bypass valve with the aid of a closing means.
Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to provide a filter for trapping foreign matter in which a filtration element can trap foreign matter that is admixed to a fluid present inside the filter with good reliability and a comparatively high trapping ratio. Hydraulic oil that has flown from an opening portion into a guide space of a first flow path guide is guided downward by the first flow path guide and directed toward a second flow path guide. As a result, the oil passes through a very narrow gap, that is, a gap with a cross sectional area of the flow path narrowed so as to increase the flow velocity of the hydraulic oil, a rising flow of the hydraulic oil is formed, and this flow is spouted up by the second flow path guide and guided by the first flow path guide toward a filter element. Foreign matter admixed to the hydraulic oil rises with good intensity together with the hydraulic oil and is moved by the hydraulic oil toward the filter element. Therefore, foreign matter can be trapped by the filter element with good reliability and a comparative high trapping ratio.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter device with a filter housing (10), in which at least two filter elements (12, 14), with differing filter grades of filter material (16), are arranged, which are each partially separated from each other by a separating device (18), with a through channel (24) of predetermined cross-section for a hydraulic connection between neighbouring filter chambers (20, 22), which are arranged prior to the filter materials (16) in the flow direction of the fluids for filtering. According to the invention, the filter device permits a combination of a so-called main- and a so-called side-stream filter in the smallest possible space, whereby very good purity levels for the filtered fluid are nevertheless achieved.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a manifold for a replaceable fluid filter cartridge. The manifold possesses inlet and outlet conduits and a housing. A first valve assembly is provided in the inlet passage. A solenoid of the first valve assembly can be operated under the control of a controller when coupling and decoupling the filter cartridge to and from the manifold. The housing is defined with a flow bore through which water filtered in the filter cartridge can flow and a reservoir in which the filtered water is stored after flowing through the flow bore. One end of the outlet conduit is provided with a chamber. A second valve assembly is provided in the chamber. The second valve assembly includes an electromagnetic valve, and a sealing block is disposed in the chamber. The sealing block is defined with a flow path. A flow path switchover member functions to divert fluid flow through the outlet conduit into a first or second outlet conduit part. The flow path switchover member includes a hollow cylindrical body, a pair of bars, a pair of holes and a stopcock. A spring is placed between the flow path switchover member and a bottom surface of the chamber. When a solenoid of the second valve assembly is in an OFF state, the first outlet conduit part is opened, and when the solenoid is in an ON state, the second outlet conduit part is opened.
Abstract:
A water pump normally used in a water filtering system for a circulating water of a swimming pool water through a water filter cartridge is used to clean the filter by coupling a 3-way valve or an in line valve and a tee in the piping between the pump and the water filter. In the a first position of the valve, the filter housing receives the entire water output from the pump and a second position the entire water output of the pump is diverted to a flexible hose secured to first water discharge wand. A circular ring-shaped manifold with an array of water discharged apertures direct streams of water radially outward into the filter cartridge in a direction opposite to the flow of water through the filter cartridge when located in a filter housing for hydraulically flush debris from a filter cartridge. A second wand with a C-shaped manifold is then connected to the hose and used direct water streams onto the outer periphery of the filter. A third wand with a straight manifold has orifices at only opposite sides to direct water streams in the gap between filter grids of a commercial swimming fool filter.
Abstract:
A filter (10) for filtering debris out of the fluid in a transmission sump (S) prior to the fluid entering a transmission pump (P) is disclosed. The filter (10) includes a filter housing (12) presenting a filter inlet (30), a bypass inlet (32), and an outlet (46). Filter media (14) is disposed in the housing (12) such that fluid flowing from the filter inlet (30) to the outlet (46) passes through the media (14) and fluid flows from the bypass inlet (32) to the outlet (46) without passing through the media (14). A bypass valve assembly (16), shiftable into and out of a closed position, prevents fluid flow through the bypass inlet (32) when the valve (16) is closed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to small vehicles such as lawn and garden tractors and more specifically to an oil filter cartridge or assembly usable with the transmissions of such vehicles. The cartridge is comprised of a filtering element, a strainer element and a by-pass valve. The by-pass valve is housed within the strainer element and is adapted to direct oil flow through the strainer element, but not the filter element when the oil viscosity is high and only through the filter element when the oil viscosity is low. In this way, the parasitic horsepower loss caused by routing oil through the strainer element at all times is eliminated. The cartridge is also housed within the transmission case to reduce mounting bracketry outside the transmission case and minimize the likelihood of insufficient oil supply available for the filter, pump and hydraulic system functions.
Abstract:
Fluid decontamination device includes a base having a fluid passage in it. An observation window is provided in the base for allowing a user to observe a fluid in the fluid passage. A differential pressure indicator, such as a vacuum indicator, is operatively connected to the fluid passage for indicating the relative pressure in the fluid. An indicator light which turns on when the differential pressure in the fluid passage is less than a predetermined differential pressure may be provided on the differential pressure indicator. A filter maybe fluidly connected with the fluid passage for filtering out one or more contaminants present in the fluid.
Abstract:
A multiple stage automatic, low-to-no back pressure, high capacity, continuously renewable, separation and filtration system for the contaminated liquids which are discharged into the environment including means to add air to the contaminated liquids as they moved into a vertical elongated hydrostatic chamber wherein the action of gravitational forces and added air separates the contaminants from uncontaminated liquids, with a detachable bottom container for collecting and holding heavier contaminants and a large capacity upper chamber for collecting and holding lighter contaminants with a drain valve for the subsequent environmentally safe disposal of these lighter contaminants liquids, where the out flow of this vertical elongated chamber passes through a generally smaller filter canister composed of a hydrophobic, contaminant attracting filtering material which captures the remaining trace solid and liquid contaminants suspended in the out flow of the hydrostatic chamber.
