    摘要: A system is provided for withdrawing permeate from a substrate. The exemplary system includes a vessel configured to contain substrate, two or more compartments configured to receive substrate from the vessel and to return a portion of received substrate to the vessel, and a filter positioned at least partially within each of the compartments and configured to separate permeate from substrate during operation of the filter. At least one of the compartments is configured to contain cleaning solution and substantially prevent cleaning solution from contacting substrate in the vessel during cleaning of the filter. The exemplary system is configured for cleaning the filter in situ in at least one of the compartments while operating the filter in at least one other of the compartments. A method for adapting a filtration system for cleaning thereof and a method for withdrawing permeate from a substrate using a filtration system are also provided.

    摘要: A spiral wound membrane module comprises a spiral wound membrane element including a separation membrane having high back pressure strength. In filtration running, raw water introduced from a raw water inlet of a pressure vessel is subjected to dead end filtration, and permeate is taken out from a permeate outlet. In washing, wash water containing a chemical having a contaminant separating function is introduced from an end of a water collection pipe through the permeate outlet for performing back wash reverse filtration with a back pressure of 0.05 to 0.3 MPa. The filtration running is temporarily stopped for maintaining the pressure vessel in a state sealed with the raw water and the permeate for a prescribed time. Thus, contaminants adhering to the membrane surface of the spiral wound membrane element are separated. A treatment system is formed by connecting units comprising spiral wound membrane modules in parallel with each other. In the treatment system, one of the units is subjected to filtration running when another one of the units is washed. In washing, back wash reverse filtration and chemical soaking are performed.

    摘要: An automatic screening apparatus for removing debris from a liquid stream includes a drive mechanism mounted to a support frame. A screen connects to the support frame and collects debris while allowing the liquid to flow through. The drive mechanism positions and interchangeably couples to a first carriage assembly and a second carriage assembly. The first carriage assembly includes a rake that removes the collected debris from the screen. The second carriage assembly includes a bucket that removes the debris collected from the rake. A plunger directs the debris from the rake into the bucket. At selected intervals, the drive mechanism decouples from the first carriage assembly and couples to the second carriage assembly, whereupon the second carriage assembly is positioned to dump the bucket. After dumping the bucket, the drive shaft is decoupled from the second carriage assembly and coupled to the first carriage assembly, whereupon the cycle is repeated.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for cleaning a filter element (9) located in a filtering chamber (10, 11) and to a filter implementing the method. The filter includes an inlet (4) leading to the inlet side (10) of the filtering chamber, an outlet (6) starting from the outlet side (11) of the chamber, and a flow passage (13), which connects the chamber inlet side preferably to atmospheric pressure and by means of which a pressure difference can be generated between the different sides of the filter element in order to produce a flow impulse detaching solid matter accumulated on the element. In accordance with the invention, the inlet side (10) of the filtering chamber is connected in a first step to a confined buffer chamber (14) under lower pressure, the pressure equalisation between the chambers producing a flow impulse cleaning the filter element (9), after which the buffer chamber can be connected to atmospheric pressure. Such two-step pressure drop during cleaning of the filter element allows use of the elements in high-pressure hydraulic systems without exposing the element to risk of damage.
