    Abstract: A cutting machine for cutting a vegetable product includes a multi-knife cutting plate mounted in-line along a product flow path and a drive motor, whereby the cutting plate moves in an orbital motion in a plane substantially perpendicular to the flow path, thereby moving the cutting knives sequentially and repeatedly across the product flow path. A system for cutting vegetable products includes a transport system configured for transporting vegetable products in single file toward an outlet, a plurality of cutting machines, a collection system disposed downstream of the cutting machines and configured to collect the vegetables after cutting, and a selection device configured to selectively couple the outlet of the transport system to one or more of the cutting machines. The plurality of cutting machines may be mounted upon a transport device to selectively move one of the cutting machines into communication with the outlet of the transport system.

    Abstract: Provided is a printer in which a cut-off paper is pushed into a paper stacking portion without an additional power source while reducing the maximum load applied to driving means for driving a movable blade. A printer includes a movable blade for cutting a paper disposed between a fixed blade and a movable blade as it moves in a forward direction and separating a printed part as a cut-off paper; driving means for moving the movable blade in a reciprocating manner; a pushing member which is driven to push a cut-off paper in a thickness direction of the cut-off paper; a paper stacking portion for stacking the cut-off paper pushed by the pushing member; and a driving force transferring mechanism for transferring a driving force of the driving means to the pushing member to drive the pushing member.

    Abstract: A system and a method for feeding wire material to a rotary compaction press are provided. In some embodiments the method includes the steps of feeding a wire strand of material to a location adjacent a cutting surface; moving the cutting surface, thereby causing the cutting surface to cut the wire strand of material into a wire pellet of material; and transporting the wire pellet of material to adjacent a die table of a rotary compaction press. In some embodiments the system includes a wire exit aperture. A cutting disc may be provided adjacent the wire exit aperture and may have a plurality of wire cutting surfaces and adjacent wire notches. The cutting disc may be rotatable, thereby causing the wire cutting surfaces to sequentially pass over the wire exit aperture.

    Abstract: A printer according to the present invention includes a recording unit that makes recording on recording paper, a cutter unit that has a movable cutter edge to cut the recording paper, and a containing portion that receives recorded matter, which is the recorded paper cut by the cutter unit. Further, the printer includes a cut piece collecting portion that collects cut pieces, which are recording paper cut by the cutter unit, and a cut piece collecting portion cover that opens/closes in conjunction with a cutting operation of the cutter unit. The recording paper cut by the cutter unit is collected by a cut piece collecting portion if the cut piece collecting portion cover is in an open state and is made movable to the containing portion if the cut piece collecting portion cover is in a closed state.
