    摘要: A ball screw with a dust-proof and lubricating device comprises: a screw, a nut, a plurality of balls, an oil-absorbing member, a return unit, and two dust-proof members. The nut includes an axial oil-guiding hole, a plurality of radial oil holes in communication with the oil-guiding hole and the helical groove of the nut, and an oil-feeding hole in communication with one of the radial oil holes. The oil-absorbing member is disposed in the oil-guiding hole and the radial oil holes. The return unit is disposed in the nut to enable the turning and circulation of the balls. The two dust-proof members are located at both ends of the axial hole. The ball screw can still be lubricated when it is disposed in a vertical position, and the dust-proof and lubricating device which won't add axial length to the nut.

As an example, the gear set may be a planetary gear set. The planetary gears are engaged with a disk. The disk is fixed to a shaft rod or other force transmitting component such as lead screw. The lead screw is engaged with a traveling block. When the lead screw rotates, the traveling block moves along the lead screw. The lateral movement of the traveling block may be linked to further force application devices, such as a pin or a cable. In one aspect of the invention, the rotor shaft is a hollow tube, and the lead screw is a spindle or rod disposed to slide in and out of the rotor shaft tube.

    摘要: A threaded ball screw is stationarily non-rotatably mounted in a machine tool to extend parallel to the line of action traversed by a carriage. A pair of threaded ball nuts are laterally restrained in and mounted for free rotation thereof in a drive mechanism of the carriage and threadably and concentrically engage the ball screw in laterally spaced apart co-axial relationship therealong. A pair of digitally controlled electric drive motors are mounted in the carriage for individually imparting rotational torque to the nuts. A conventional programmably CNC controller is programmed to synchronously control both motors for causing the ball nuts to conjointly produce computer controlled linear motion and positioning of the carriage along the stationary ball screw, and to develop anti-backlash pre-load forces between the ball nuts relative to the ball screw. The system can also produce an electromotive and/or frictional braking force for decelerating and/or holding the carriage in a selected stationarily fixed position along the line of action. The two motor rotors can exert rotational torque on the ball nuts simultaneously in the same or opposite rotary directions with the carriage moving and/or stationary. Pre-load forces exerted between the ball nut can be dynamically adjusted by monitoring the load and/or position of each of the motor rotors and adjusting the power input thereto individually while producing conjoint rotary motion of the motors to drive the carriage along the ball screw. The angular phase relationship between the motor rotors and hence between the ball nuts can be controlled to vary screw-to-nut backlash clearance as a function of carriage travel position and/or mode of machine tool operation.

    摘要: A first and second axially aligned pair of recirculating ball nuts and screws have the screws of both pairs joined for axial movement together. Both recirculating ball nuts are driven in rotation by a source of rotary power and both nuts are axially constrained with respect to their screws. The screws are oppositely threaded to produce linear reciprocation from unidirectional rotary power. Each screw is braked to prevent its rotation with respect to its associated ball nut at the beginning of and throughout its power stroke, while the other screw is left free to rotate with its recirculating ball nut. At the end of a power stroke the brake is released to allow the first screw to rotate with its ball nut while at the same time the second screw is braked to initiate its power stroke.
