摘要: An articulated joint pivotably connects first leg and second legs. A first joint member attaches to the first leg. A second joint member attaches to the second leg. The joint members have facing abutment surfaces. Each joint member has a shaft opening receives a shaft for connecting the joint members, such that the legs may pivot between an open and a closed position. A clamping means releasably presses abutment surfaces of the joint members toward each other. A locking means releasably positively secures the joint members in at least the open position. Each joint member has a first aperture. The first aperture is radially offset from the shaft opening. The first apertures of each joint member are coaxially arranged in at least the open position. A device for supporting a person is included.

摘要: A flexure joint interposed between and connecting a first end and a second end has a spherical member, a receiving member configured and arranged to maintain and selectively engage the spherical member, and a connector in communication with the receiving member for releasably locking the spherical member in position as between at least a first locked position and a second locked position relative to the receiving member. Repositioning of the spherical member as between the first and second locked positions is effective for repositioning the shaft relative to the handle as between a first locked position and a second locked position.

摘要: An exercise device including at least one positionable component configured to be positioned by a user. The exercise device includes a frame to which a collar is mounted. The positionable component includes a member that is slidably received within the collar and may be positioned by sliding the member to a selected position. A locking assembly is coupled to the collar and is operable to lock the member in a selected position within the collar, to release the member from the locked position, and when released, to allow the member to slide within the collar. The locking assembly includes a cam pivotably mounted to the collar and a cam follower assembly selectively biased by the cam against a portion of the member disposed inside the collar. The locking assembly also includes a pair of engagement members disposed inside the collar opposite the cam against which the cam biases the member.

摘要: An instrument for establishing orientation of a pelvic prosthesis comprises a tripod having an angularly adjustable guide rod on it. The tips of the legs define a plane, and the guide rod is set by the surgeon to a defined orientation with respect to this plane on the basis of preoperative studies. In use, two of the legs of the instrument are positioned by the surgeon at defined anatomical locations on the pelvis (e.g., a point in the region of the posterior/inferior acetabulum and a point on the anterior superior iliac spine). The third leg then lands on the pelvis at a point determined by the position of the first two points, as well as by the separations between the third leg and the other two legs. The position of the guide rod then defines with respect to the actual pelvis the direction for insertion of a prosthesis.

摘要: According to the present invention, a movable wall portion for forming the outer circumference of an infant accommodation space can pivot forward about a portion of a region including the lower end portion and its vicinity of the movable wall portion from a substantially erect position to the outside of the infant accommodation space. The movable wall portion can move backward from a midway position in forward movement to the final backward moving position by its own weight while abrupt backward movement is suppressed by a damper. The present invention can provide a movable wall portion attachment mechanism of an incubator which does not produce a large sound or a large vibration when closing the movable wall portion, with a small chance that wall portions such as wall portions on the incubator base side, the movable wall portion or the like will be damaged.

摘要: A stroller includes a handle switchable between a front inclined position and a rear inclined position, an article holding accessory, and at least one adjusting mechanism. The adjusting mechanism includes a sleeve component secured to the handle, an axle ring component connected to the article holding accessory and coupled rotatably to the sleeve component, and a positioning plate. The axle ring component has first and second engaging parts corresponding to the front and rear inclined positions, respectively. The positioning plate is coaxially secured in the sleeve component and has a positioning part engageable with a selected one of the first and second engaging parts with respect to an axis of rotation of the axle ring component, so as to provide a substantially horizontal position of use for the article holding accessory when the handle is at either one of the front and rear inclined positions.

The support post has a floor engaging end that has a number of claws, a shaft coupled at one end to the floor engaging end, a first longitudinally extending telescoping tube, a second longitudinally extending telescoping tube adapted for sliding telescoping engagement with the first telescoping tube, a ceiling engaging end, and an over-center locking lever assembly. Each of the claws has a number of sharp penetrating points for engagement with a supporting surface. The shaft has a free end which is threaded along at least a portion of its length. The first longitudinally extending telescoping tube has an internal nut for threaded engagement with the shaft. The ceiling engaging end is coupled to the second telescoping tube.
